On September 4, 2008 at approximately 5:00 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Target Department Store for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, the officers were advised by store employees that the below listed suspect had been observed removing clothing from the store without making any attempts at payment. The suspect was stopped and the stolen clothing was recovered. Upon arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of an amount of suspected marijuana.

On September 8, 2008 at approximately 10:02 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the area of Phillips Avenue for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officers met with a female victim who advised that her boyfriend, listed below, was yelling and causing a disturbance in the area. Officers met with the suspect, who agreed to leave the area. The suspect left the area in a taxi cab then immediately returned to the area and continued the disturbance, while in possession of an open alcoholic beverage. The suspect was taken into custody.
ARRESTED: Dishawn Lemont Burbage, 21 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

On September 8, 2008 at approximately 5:20 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department were contacted by a witness regarding a previously stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been stolen the day prior in a burglary, and was observed by the witness traveling on Rt. 50. A Salisbury Police Officer stopped the vehicle, which was confirmed stolen. The officer attempted to remove the driver, listed below, from the vehicle and was assaulted by the driver who then left the area in the vehicle. The vehicle was located in the Peninsula Regional Medical Center parking garage by PRMC staff, as the driver exited the vehicle and fled from the area on foot. Salisbury Officers chased the suspect, and caught and arrested the suspect in the area of Waverly St. and Maryland Avenue. During the foot chase, the suspect discarded a bag that he removed from the vehicle. The bag was located and was found to contain two (2) handguns. A second Salisbury Officer was assaulted during the arrest. The first officer was not injured, and the second officer was transported to PRMC where he was treated and released.

What's sad is that the pubic defender's office will defend him like he's done nothing wrong and the Police Officer's were the one's wrong. Or maybe he was just abused as a child and we should all just give him a big hug...
