"Sir,
Are you the person who is screening comments about posts for sbynesw.com?
I have been trying to make the point that the last two presidential elections have been stolen by the Republicans. There is considerable evidence of this. Every comment I post is diapering! Please explain this.
You claim you site is "Salisbury's most reliable and unbiased source for your local news?". If this is truly a question, then the answer is NO! It is totally Republican biased!
Supposed I offer to BUY advertising on your site for Ralph Nader for president. Would you sell it to me?

I find it amazing how some people come on here and get all pissed off that I won't allow their own agenda to be expressed without ANY work on their own behalf. My response was simply to say, if you want to express your opinion, create your own Blog and work 18 hours a day to become the #1 Blog in the state. This gentleman was attempting to put in a multitude of links to sites all over the place and I refused to allow it.
Look, I don't care what anyone says, Nader won't even come close. Secondly, I don't SELL space on this Blog and this is EXACTLY why, I can't be bought. Oh, take the guys money, say some nice things about Nader and don't say anything negative in the mean time. After all, it's good money, right? WRONG! Take your money and buy space in the Daily Times. First of all, they desperately need it. Secondly, go to the Metropolitan next and believe me, they'll suck up to anything you want said to the point if you give them enough money, they'll spread your word on the front cover and then write a favorable article about your cause inside too boot.
Salisbury News doesn't flow that way. Like I said, create your own Blog and spread the word on your own.
Joe, maybe you need to define what a blod is and what the purpose is. Evidently people just don't have a clue. This isn't there site, it's YOURS! It's YOUR opinion, mixed with some facts that YOU choose to report on. YOU allow us to make short response comments and share discussion about the topics YOU choose.
ReplyDeleteI am Al Klappenberger and the I wrote the message posted here because my comments objecting to the total Republican bias of this site was rejected over and over! I was mad enough to chew Plutonium and I still am! I posted links to document my position. The comment area clearly states HTML tags can be used. Apparently this is NOT SO! I want to present evidence for my thinking but am not being allowed to!
ReplyDeleteAlso: Only advertisements for McCain can appear on this site. No other options will be allowed for free or for sale.
Mardella,
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a clue! It is the TOTAL expression of one mans Republican point of view. I want to make sure EVERYONE realizes that fact. It is his Constitutional right to do that, but opinion is worthless without facts to document the thinking. All I see here is Republican propaganda.

ReplyDeleteI am gratified that my previous comment was not quashed. This shows a degree of tolerance to criticism. I will abide by the no-link rules but believe this limits EVERYONES ability to provide evidence for ones opinions. The links I tried to post earlier shows clearly that the last two elections were stolen. Al Gore was actually elected in 2000, NOT George Bush! I want to show why this is true. My saying so means nothing by itself! We all need to be able to back up what we claimsnd opinions with REAL evidence!
ALLOW THE LINKS!
Al Klappenberger
NO!
ReplyDeleteI'd be offended if you tried to "diaper" me, too, Joe. No offense, buddy. I just don't think I need to be "diapered".
ReplyDeleteTo Mr. Klapenberger:
ReplyDeleteI usually don't agree with Joe's Republican opinions, but so what? There are other subjects being written about here, too and I am always interested in hearing other people's opinions. This is Joe's blog and he is the one and only person who has the right to decide what gets posted. You have a lot of nerve making any demands of him at all. I agree; start your own blog. I'll be happy to see it and respond to it. You need to lose that sense of entitlement you have concerning this blog. It isn't yours.
Joe,
ReplyDeleteOf course your answer is no! You can't handle any documentation that shows any evidence whatever that contradicts your views. Anyone who will not present facts to support his positions looses the debate immediately!
So.. I say Ralph Nader should be our next president. This is MY opinion. He also should be in the presidential debates. Without him no substantial debates will happen. Nader WILL BE on the Maryland ballot this November. Look at what he has to say, that is unless you can't stand to hear another point of view.
Al Klappenberger
Then take off your blinders, remove the plugs from your ears, and open your heart and mind to goodness and you will see that it's so much more. I don't see you posting to anything but political messages. Where is your concern for anything else? Did you comment on the great reception for our returning marine? How about the local gas prices? Nothing political about those subjects. And how can one get so "MAD" because you don't get your liks published? We must always consider the source before posting things. Why don't you try your own blog? Then you can get mad at your self? Do you post anything that is positive for our country? Do you live in the past or do you look toward the future? Do you look at today's problems? There is nothing that can be done about yesterday, but we can affect what happens today and taking a proactive stance to do something positive for our country is a start. All of our leaders have done good things and bad. Instead of trying to divide our country by seperating and labeling us, let's just talk about the issues of today. Let's not talk about Obama the democrat or McCain the republican, but lets focus on Obama the candidate that wants to bring on more government control, or McCain that wants to shake up the way Washington currently does business and return the control of money to the people. I will never vote for a person who I don't think can lead our military as President. It doesn't matter what age, race, religion, party, or favorite color they have. One of the most important jobs of the President is that of Commander in Chief. When the $hit hits the fan, when our nation is under attack both militarily or financially or socially, ect., I want a President who will lead our troops to defend us whether here at home, or anywhere in the world! I was in the military for nine years under two presidents, one a republican and one a democrat. I've met them both while serving on the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71. Both did good things and both did some not so good things. George H.W. Bush led us militarily to victory in Kuwaiit. It was a decisive victory. Bill Clinton sold secrets to China. He was afrad to push the button to get Bin Ladden. Most of the attacks against the US were on his watch, and he did very little to combat this in an effective manner, and just like Carter, his inaction let this cancer spread, so now we are in the fight we are today. These are truths that some don't want to hear. It's a sad time in America when parties are more concerned about winning a contest than they are about doing what is right! The majority of Democratic politions want to sell themselves by saying whatever polls tell them to. Some republicans do the same. I'm interested in people that have a value system that looks out for the individual. The right of each American. I want to know that my taxes are low, my military is strong to deter further attacks. I want things to be earned, not given away. I want people working for there future, not buying $400 video games with entitlements. I want everyone to have the same oppertunity. No one should get a bonus because of there age, race, religion and so forth. It's a level playing field for all. You get ahead with hatrd work and determination. You enjoy the spoils after a hard days work. Whether that hard day is a job, going to school, or volunteering for your community. Atheletes shouldn't make more than teachers and police officers. That's what I believe in.
ReplyDeleteAl, why can't you summerize what he has to say? We'll debate it with you.
ReplyDeleteGranny,
ReplyDeleteOpinion is fine, it is our right under the constitution. There is also a need to present good reasons for your opinions. He does not do that and does not allow other to do it. I believe there is an inhalant responsibility here. Do not quash documentation for ones opinions if you allow opinions to be presented in the form of comments. If all you want to do is rant your point of view, don't allow comments! Look at my "rant" and you will see my opinions and the links to documentation for my thinking. Comments are not part of it. Take it or leave it! This site DOES allow comments. Allow those who care to comment back up their views with documentation!
AL Klappenberger
LOL! Haven't heard from Al Klappenberger in ages. The man is probably a genius . . . Al, just make up your on blog. Go to blogger.com
ReplyDeleteA former co-worker.
Al,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that if you start your own blog, Joe will be man enough to post the link. Then you can say what you want (and probably not let any of Joe's comments through). Maybe you'll feel better then.
Mardela,
ReplyDeleteYou have not seen my comments about other subjects because I have been posting as "anonymous" until now. You had no way to know it was me. I have been posting comments about gas prices and oil drilling in particular for quite a while. I have used "Anonymous" simply because it's easy to do. I have not been trying to hide my identity. At that time I was not known here. Who is Al Klappenberger? Well now you know me. I am a passive electronic filter designer and market software for this purpose and a consultant to the filter design industry. I work 2 days a week at K&L Microwave in this capacity. I am also one of the founders of the new "Independent party of Maryland". I was involved in getting the 22,000 signatures to get Ralph Nader on the Maryland ballot this November. I believe TOTALLY that the two-party system is killing us and we must stop supporting it blindly. I say the only thing worse than a Democrat is a Republican. Again, only MY OPINION. Now let me document why it is my opinion!
AL Klappenberger
Seems to me people on here were b*tching that the Daily Times was squashing the use of links in their online commentary. Including the link to Joe's blog.
ReplyDeleteThe Times now claims that they will allow links through as long as they are part of a "true" comment, i.e., not just posting the link and saying, "For the truth, go here."
I've had links posted here. So why not just apply the same allowance to everyone?
As for Nader, Mr. Klappenberger, his candidacy simply results in a spoiler. The Republicans cheer him on knowing he'll take no votes from their candidate. You may want to keep that in mind as you rail against the Republican propoganda.
Mardela,
ReplyDeleteWhy should I summarize what someone else has to say? I don't understand what you mean!
I can't debate without the ability to back up what I say. This site does not allow links! Neither of our opinions carry an weight without the ability to point to facts to illustrate my comments. I say up and somebody else says down. Nothing is accomplished.
Al Klappenberger
I don't promote any one else's Blog, in case you hadn't noticed.
ReplyDeleteNO!
ReplyDeleteThe simply go away Al. If you don't like my rules, create your own Blog and spread the word like Bill Duvall does, 20 people a day.
ReplyDeleteThe ONLY reason you want to post your information here is because of the audience Salisbury News receives every day.
Go out and earn your guests and spread all the propoganda you want. It simply won't be done here. Now go play in another sand box.
Joe,
ReplyDeleteI noticed. You promote nothing but your own point of view. It only serves to illustrate my point. Total Republican propaganda and noting but.
Ex-coworker,
Thanks. I did not know of blogger.com. I will look at it carefully.
BTW. I am no genius, just a citizen who is scared to death of where this country is going!
Al Klappenberger
Al you can't be serious? How did people debate before the use of links and blogs? They took quotes, and when asked for them, they presented the sources of the quotes. How about trying that? I doubt very much your comment would be moderated out if you simply quoted the lines that are particularly relevant.
ReplyDeleteAnd really.... It is Joe's blog. Its not as though this is a tax paid commodity that owes the community all sides of the equation. If he doesn't like your opinion, he doesn't have to post it. It is what it is. There are plenty of things that I disagree with that get posted here. If its worth commenting on, I'll do it respectfully and move on. I don't think Joe's moderated out any of my comments now that I think on it. Just be respectful and use your own words, not links to someone else's site. Its just common sense that you shouldn't post links to other websites. No one knows you and no one knows if you're just trying to send us places to get spyware and viruses.
Beware of "inhalant" responsibility. I think it may cause brain damage.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pile of "KLAP" !!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
ReplyDeleteI have heard that "spoiler" description about Nader over and over. My answer is I HOPE SO! The two party corporate butt kissers need their agenda spoiled in a big way! I am also sick of "he put Bush in the White house" crap! I used to believe that too until I looked into the facts (that I was not allowed to present). That was a result of TWO STOLEN elections! We need MORE SPOILERS. Ask yourself, what is he spoiling? Answer: continued business as usual! Is there a place in hell for voters who jump on the loosing candidate's band-wagon? NO! Forget the idea that voting for the candidate you relay want is a waste of your vote. Voting for some guy the news media says is "electable" is the TRUE waste of your vote. We, the voter, decide who is "electable", not the corporate based news media! The two-party "system" must END! They are two sides of the same corporate coin. They are beholding to the major corporations that finance them and therefore RULE their agenda. This is Nader's platform! Listen to him and support him with you MONEY, as I do. The corporations give him NOTHING and are scared to death of his message.
Al Klappenberger
Al is not "scared to death" of where the country is going, just "scared to death" of where his life is going! His insecurities in himself lend him to the point that he needs to bring people down to his level. No one should be scared about anything! Have faith in our Lord and Savior! He will deliver all of us from anything. Have confidence that we will be better, that we will do better, and that we are better off today than we were yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThere is help for you Al, and I'll pray for you!
AMEN! You've Been HEALED!
ReplyDeleteSo that bit at the top about "this blog is opinionated" wasn't clear?
ReplyDeleteAnd Angela, I agree with you. I don't want any "diapering" either.
Joe,
ReplyDeleteYou are invited to get lost. Your narrow-minded positions are well known and totally unsubstantiatable. Let more open minded people debate as best they can without the benefit of links to document their thinking. You have the power to use links but don't dare to do it because you are afraid someone else may do so too! All you have is the authority of being the "thousand pound gorilla" in the room. It's your blog! I DARE you to document your positions!
AL Klappenberger
ROTFLMAO!!!!
ReplyDeletePlease, al, be honest!
ReplyDeleteYou wrote that your comments keep diapering.
In defense of Mr. Albero, I have NEVER known him to ever diaper a comment!
OOOOOHHHHH! I double dare you! I think you should have a minimum age to post Joe. That would keep kids like this off the blog.
ReplyDelete"ROTFLMAO" = Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Ass Off.
ReplyDeleteNope, it's still attached and on display! You obvious have nothing else to contribute so you resort to arguments requiring no mental effort at all. Yep, he's a Republican! See -- I can do that too!
Al Klappenberger
I think I'm done with commenting on this post. It is no longer a useful debate but has become personal attacks. That serves no purpose except to illustrate the end of clear thinking.
ReplyDeleteJoe,
Thanks for letting my "political rant" URL follow my name. Maybe there has been some people quietly following all this what might want to consider another point of view that is seldom heard here. Your heavy handed editing has actually helped me make my point.
AL Klappenberger
Good-bye, Mr. Kaddiddlehopper, (oops, Clem Kaddiddlehopper was a clown.....Freudian slip on my part:)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, go in peace, and please know that I am as outraged as you that anyone would diaper your comments.
Vote McCain/Palin:)
Just say NO to the abomination of the Obamanation:(
I NEVER vote for a major party in a Presidential election.
ReplyDelete"Albert J. Klappenberger
ReplyDeleteSalisbury, MD.
ALK Engineering"
You would think some one with a business named "ALK Engineering" wouldn't have a "J" as their middle initial.
In all fairness to Mr. Kaddiddlehopper, the company may be named for his father or other relative?
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 17, I had a job sweeping floors..I truthfully told everyone I was an environmental control engineer. I think Mr. Kaddiddlehopper may be in my class of engineer:)
I find it difficult to imagine that any real engineer would be so mentally limited as Al!
My 13 year old grandson understands the concept of a blog owner's right to control what is to be posted on his or her blog!
Al,
ReplyDeleteRegarding the spoiler argument, you said it yourself:
The only thing worse than a Democrat is a Republican.
If you REALLY want a a third party to succeed, you've GOT to get it organized, highly numbered and well funded WAY BEFORE the election. Just tossing Nader in for a 4% take or whatever it is only serves to get the worse of two evils elected.
Also, find a better candidate. Ralph lost my respect decades ago.
