Frank Kratovil Supporters

I was in attendance tonight at the debate at SU, and saw the buses unloading Kratovil supporters, and heard the most immature things from some of the college kids in the crowd. Andy Harris was talking about his father being imprisoned in Russia for his beliefs , and i heard the owwwwww what a shame. Regardless of whether your a Democrat or a Republican this behavior isn't necessary, In fact it makes it more evident the fact that some of these students are far to immature to elect the leaders of the State let alone the leaders of this country.

  1. Joe the spot I was sitting some very immature lady around her 50's was yelling very rude comments as well about Harris in support of Kratovil. I tell you I was so disgusted at this debate.

  2. I believe that I too was sitting very close to this rude lady. She kept yelling out her nasty remarks as if everyone in the crowd cared what she had to say. What happened to RESPECT?!

I could not believe the actions of Kratovil’s bunch. As a college student myself, I was actually taking notice of how well behaved and respectful the college students were behaving in comparison this one in particular stripped shirt lady-in her 50’s.

On another note, an undecided voter was also sitting in our area and Kratovil's whole crowd totally turned her off. One more vote for Harris! So, thank you ill-mannered lady in her 50’s!

  3. Could that ill mannered person possibly have been Mrs. Bubba? She is known to be rude and crude.

  4. Speaking of rude...

did you see that HARRIS guy on stage?

What an arrogant SOB. And you people actually LIKE this guy?

Your friends must be all be former federal inmates, because Andy Harris is one cold-hearted man.

  5. First, I would like to let you all know that there were people there making snide remarks about Kratovil as well. There may not be as many Harris supporters as there are Kratovil, but that does not change the fact that Harris supporters were just as rude in some points.

Second, Harris' views on certain things were very controversial and some did not make very much sense. How can he agree to clean the Environment, especially the bay, but agree with off shore drilling.

Third, and this goes for both candidates, not Davis, Harris and Kratovil acted in a very unprofessional manner. There were a couple of times when they both made personal attacks on one another and that was not acceptable. Argue about the questions being asked, not their personal lives.

Lastly, I was very persuaded tonight by Kratovil. Granted I need more information on the two before I make my final decision. Kratovil was a lot more relaxed and seemed to be more on subject with the questions. Harris at some points felt like he had the right to almost yell at, and criticize, Kratovil. At one point he completely made up a quote about one of Kratovil's remark.

No offense intended joe, but if Harris is indeed the better candidate for the job he did not show it tonight in the least bit.

Sincerely, Respectful SU student (We do exist)

  7. Take great care in judging candidates by their supporters' actions. There are nice people and jerks everywhere, on all sides.

This kind of judgmental stuff rather than sticking to the issues reminds me of Mike Dunn's comment about what kind of person Debbie Campbell must be to have such "rude" supporters. Some people were cranked, but Mike gave them lots of reason to be. But still, Debbie was not rude and she cannot control the actions of other people.

This same smear will be used against her in the upcoming election..."what kind of person is she that Joe Albero and his followers support her"? Because believe me, folks, while you may think Joe is golden and that you are good for being a supporter, there are a LOT of people who have been swayed by the bit of ugliness put out there, who don't know the whole story and think Joe and his followers are horrible. And a hell of a lot of them vote!

    Mark my words.

The only thing any of YOU can do is watch your own behavior because people will judge YOUR candidate by your behavior.

To better the world, we start with one person: "Myself"

  8. Grinch, It doesnt matter what you think. If they are 18, they have the RIGHT! Besides, Andy Harris was acting quite immature at times last night IMO.

  9. I was there too, and supporters of both guys were yelling (I could only hear the woman from a distance, but whoever she is, she came across as a moron). The big thing that came away from this debate, though, was that Harris came across as an arrogant guy. He had a sarcastic tone most of the night, and wobbled his head all over the place! Even Harris supporters have to acknowledge that Kratovil won this debate. If you didn't see it, I urge everyone to watch it on PAC-14, or listen to it on the public radio station. It was quite revealing.

  12. I'm glad that knowing the issues and the facts makes you "arrogant". Andy just schooled Frank on the issues and his supporters viewed that as arrogant. I'm sorry, maybe your candidate should do his homework, and he won't have to learn on the fly in the middle of a debate. Frank just repeated the same canned speech he has given multiple times, whereas Andy answered the questions!

  13. Andy Harris schooled Kratovil? Are you kidding me? He claimed TWICE that Iraq was a theocracy! That is really scary that a guy who, if elected, will be voting on whether to declare war or not is so stunningly misinformed. Harris deflected a question about oil to criticize defense lawyers. He looked terrible last night, and he would not represent us well.

  14. Well, grinch, if these kids are far too immature to vote, why don't we just send them over to Iraq or Afghanistan to fight? Are they "too immature" for that? If they're good enough to use as cannon fodder, then their opinions count just as much as yours.
