20.8%

That my friends is the number of registered voters that voted in the 2007 District 2 general election. We need to encourage people this coming election to get out and vote. That is a very small percentage of the population who are deciding how this city will run. If you live in the city ask your neighbors if they are registered for the municipal elections, if they are not help them get that way, and if they are ask them to take the time this election to go and vote for the change we need.

  1. That's freakin sad. I vote in every election I am eligible to. The apathy that exists in this country is apalling.

  2. That is correct, we need to get Debbie Campbell re-elected and vote DingleBarrie out of office.

  4. Do you have to register separately for the municipal elections or does the standard Wicomico registration suffice?

  6. Anon 12:05 PM, there is no standard Wicomico registration. If you are registered to vote you can vote in what every district your address is registered in. If you are not sure what your voter registration card says go to the Elections office on Bateman street. In order to vote in the city elections you need to be a city resident and you need to make sure your registration card reflects that.
