Question of the Day, Thur 8/14

Working full time, sometimes even 7 days a week with 2 children, we like spending as much time as possible away from work to spend with our kids. Last year, we bought a motor home. We love it! We try to get away as much as possible.

My question is: Have you ever been camping? Do you like camping? Where's your favorite camping spot? Do you have any fond memories of camping with your family?

  1. we have been camping...though not recently...we are kind of "sissy" campers, no tents, we have to have a camper, w/ a shower, bathroom and ac...we went camping in northeast, MD...memories were always great times - there's just something about being forced to be together in a small confined space that is enjoyable...go figure!

  2. Yes I have been camping, in a tent not a camper. My parents had six children and we camped at the beach every summer. We almost always took 1 or 2 friends along.
Some of my best childhood/teen memories are from those 2 weeks spent camping every summer. Now I take my family camping. I have always loved the peace and quiet. Shad Landing is our current favorite. We also like camping at Assateague nothing like the sound of the ocean to relax you. We also take advantage of the campgrounds when we go to large amusement parks. They have shuttles back and forth to the park so you don't have the hassle of parking and they are usually cheaper then area motels

  3. Yes we camp. One of my favorite spots to camp is Nickerson State Park on Cape Cod in MA. Out of state campers pay a whopping $14/night. We can even afford the gas at that price :D

  4. I love camping although Im like some of the others Im a wimp and have to have the shower, bed and a/c. My favorite camping spot is at a family own lot where we all get together once a year at the foot of the blue ridge mountains in Virginia. We took a trip a few years back to Cedar point in Ohio stopping at Kennywood and what used to be Six flags along the way. If you have never been to Cedar point put it on your list its WELL worth the drive.

  6. We enjoyed camping at Buggs Island Lake where you can pitch your tent right on the beach of a huge freshwater reservoir, and wander in for a cool swim anytime.
