Maybe the sherriffs office will set up a sobriety check point. May find some of the good stuff all the "just-make-me-feel-good" crowd has been smoking.
ReplyDeleteGet a job, work hard, quit whining, improve yourself.
-Qualifications to be a good American.
Isn't this precious.A gathering of liberals at the "GREEN" Turtle to celebrate the possible death of America as we know it.
ReplyDelete1:45, 2:00, 2:05 I am sure the republican party is proud to have you backing them. With people like you that is exactly why this republican is voting democrat this year.
ReplyDelete2:46 p.m., thank you for being an open-minded, thinking voter.
ReplyDeleteSigned,
Sober, Happy Dem for Obama
America's Chickens. .s. .s. .ssss
ReplyDeleteAre Coming Home To Roost!
NO . .NO. . NO. . .NO . . NO . .NO. .NOT GOD BLESS AMERICA. . .BUT GOD xxxx AMERICA.
Reverend Wright is special guest at the Green Turtle. All DEMONCRATS are encouraged to attend.
I don't know Mr. Cook, but I'm disappointed that Jim Ireton would have anything to do with Obama, who makes Barrie Tilghman pale by comparison. He has lost my vote for mayor or any other position that he seeks.
ReplyDeleteHenry Mencken got it right --
ReplyDeletedemocracy: the worship of jackals by jackasses!
Maybe the Big O will explain why his grandfather being in Patton's army in WWII is a qualification for the grandson to be commanded in chief?
ReplyDeleteAnyone making less than $200K annually, equates being humble to weakness, thinks that our economy is working for them, is under 44 years old a civilian supports this obscene war in Iraq without picking up a gun and standing a post that intends to vote for any Republican needs to remove their ditto head from their ass. Looks like alot of you here.
ReplyDelete3:20,
ReplyDeleteIf Mr Ireton, who has been a tireless worker for the people of Salisbury regardless of their political affiliation, loses your vote because of this, you don't deserve him to be your mayor. He is absolutely non-partisan when it comes to helping people, and has many friends in both the Democratic and Republican parties. Local politics rarely has anything to do with party affiliation. Ireton is a great guy, an honest, hard working guy, and he has my vote if he decides to run. You would like or at least respect him if you got to know him.
B. O. --
ReplyDeletePlease tell us why you are qualified now when -- according to Motormouth Biden and "Cigar" Clinton -- you were not qualified just a few months ago.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Let's hope that these true believers venture over to Barnes & Noble and buy "The Road to Serfdom" to read about our future in Obamaland (USA will be retired because it's not sufficiently "future" and, after all, everything must be change by the Messiah Barack).
ReplyDelete3:20 p.m., I'm sad you would not vote for Ireton because of his support for Obama. He's president of the Democratic Club, for crying out loud.
ReplyDeleteThere are those who may not vote for Ireton because his name gets mentioned on this blog. Yet, here you come to comment. Shall they (Barrie Tilghman's people) say the same things about you?
You are taking a Barrie Tilghman stance toward Ireton. If he were running for Congress, I'd say you might have a basis.
But city offices are non-partisan and Jim Ireton is a living, breathing example of hard work, fiscal responsibility and common sense that knows no party bounds.
We need him in Salisbury. I pray he runs. And if he does, he'll not only have my vote, I will get out and work for him.
I respectfully ask you to reconsider your Barrie Tilghman "guilty and damnable by association" approach to her opponents. If anyone is guilty and damnable by association, it is the likes of her, Comegys, Dunn, Shields and Cathcart who have sold our city out to monied special interests like the landlords and developers.
Republican for Ireton
Go over to the bookstore next door and get Michelle Obama's new book:
ReplyDelete"I Hate America"
And now a word from Barack's brother in Africa .............

ReplyDeleteI don't know Mr. Cook
I do. He is yet another veteran for Obama.
racist comments? really????? Come on guys.
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE NOT A TRUE AMERICAN IF YOU MAKE RACIST COMMENTS SUCH AS THESE.
what happened to "all men are created equal"? "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"
Sounds like to me we should all just get along.
-Republican for Obama
Why don't some of you Obama haters watch the speech tonight--it just might change your mind. At least you would have some basis from which to judge the guy, not just listening to radio guys.
ReplyDeleteJoe Biden is just being used by Uncle Tom himself.
ReplyDeleteHe - Obama - doesn't fool me one bit.
I agree with Oh no . . no. . Comments.
And I don't like John McCain either. I just don't like Obama as much.
3:20 pm--Do you know Jim Ireton? If not, get to know him before you pass judgment just because he is a Democrat. I do know him, and he is about as far from BPT as you can get. Try attending some of the meetings when he speaks.
ReplyDelete3:45 and 4:01 pm--THANK YOU! If Jim Ireton runs for mayor, and I am hoping he will, he will need as many supporters and workers as he can get to defeat the Bubba-heads.
As for this year's presidential race, I disliked all the candidates equally, and am still weighing my vote carefully. There are still over 2 months before the election, and I want to see who puts his foot in it the most before I decide!
I want to axe everyone out there just one thing.
ReplyDeleteWhere is my next check comin from. McCain ain't paying me one fhing. So I goin to vote for Obama the man.
Obama means mo money for my pocket.
Obama + Mo kids = Mo Money
That why I goin to vote for Obama.
8:31
ReplyDeleteReally?
8:31 = the good ol' down home bigotry that the Eastern Shore has historically been known for. I'm glad that you and those like you are FINALLY becoming a minority here in the new century. Please go away.
ReplyDeleteCindy McCain has two half-sisters who did not receive any inheritance at the time of their father's death. Her father, too, sought out a woman for marriage while still married, as did McCain. And McCain laments the failure of his first marriage as his great moral failure. He sought out the rich woman to ensure his future in America. And also signed a pre-nup so he would know who wore the pants in his family. So, watch your moral lectures about half brothers in Kenya. Your candidate and his family ain't so "white" either.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I wonder what drives all of this irrational hatred of Obama?
ReplyDeleteI really wish my fellow Delmarva citizens would actually pay attention to what's going on around them and not just regurgitate tired old cliches that they heard from Rush Limbaugh.
You people make me ashamed to say I'm from Salisbury when you act like this
