Virginia Man Arrested for "Terrorist" Bomb Threats to Worcester County Courthouse

WCBI LogoOn July 1, 2008 a letter was received at the Worcester County Circuit Court claiming that a Saudi Arabian Elite Special Forces Unit was going to start driving trucks full of C-4 explosives into government buildings.

They were going to start with the Worcester County Government Building on July 2, 2008.




The investigation was turned over to the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation. The investigation immediately revealed that the above suspect had court on July 2, 2008.

The investigation revealed that the suspect was responsible for writing the letter, and the suspect is not associated with the Saudi Arabian Elite Special Forces Unit.

The suspect Richard Matthews of Greenbackville, Virginia was arrested for the incident and charged with:

False Statement of a Destructive Device and Arson Threat.



The suspect is currently being incarcerated at the Worcester County Detention Center on a $55,000 Bond.

    "try this"
    "ladies greenbackville fire department auxillary"
    hot crab dip...
    2-8 ounce packs soft cream cheese
    1- cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
    1/2- teaspoon lemon juice
    4- heaping tablespoons mayonnaise
    1-teaspoon whocestershire sauce
    3-shakes garlic salt
    1- pound crabmeat,(check for shells)

    mix all ingredients except crab meat, them mix crabmeat in by hand. place mixture in greased casarole dish, sprinkle more cheese on top. bake for 35 minutes.
