THREE OFFICERS INJURED DURING BRAWL AT UNDERAGE CLUB
On July 4th at around 9:20 p.m., Ocean City officers responded to the H2O underage club on Worcester Street after a fight broke out inside. Before officers were able to gain control of the scene, several more fights began. At this time there were 9 police officers on the scene and more than 75 persons fighting inside.
Club management was forced to close the club. As officers began to remove combatants, several more fights broke out both inside the club and outside on the sidewalk and street. Police estimated approximately 300-400 persons were involved. 63 police officers were utilized to bring order back to the area.
After more than 40 minutes, police were able to clear the area. 15 people were arrested. After interviewing several of the suspects it was determined that the fight was started by members of rival gangs based out of Salisbury.
Three officers were treated at Atlantic General Hospital. Officer Chris Reichard suffered a broken nose, Officer Kevin Dagstani was treated for a knee injury, and PFC Mike Richardson was treated for bite wounds after his K-9 dog became agitated by the crowd. this place should be closed down. what, is it a training bar for later in life. this is a joke. this buisness should not be allowed.
ReplyDeleteAfter interviewing several of the suspects it was determined that the fight was started by members of rival gangs based out of Salisbury.
ReplyDeleteBut I thought the Mayor and the Chief think there are no gangs in salisbury. What a joke they are.
"PFC Mike Richardson was treated for bite wounds after his K-9 dog became agitated by the crowd."
ReplyDeleteDog bites man, not news. Man bites dog, news. Policeman bitten by his own K9, priceless.
Joe, can you find out if that's why traffic was stopped completely for an hour in the inlet?
ReplyDeleteOnce again what about this sounds like a FAMILY RESORT.
ReplyDeleteJoe, can you find out if that's why traffic was stopped completely for an hour in the inlet?
ReplyDelete4:36 PM
Don't you think that traffic was closed for an hour at the inlet because this happen 20 minutes after the fireworks ended in downtown Ocean City??
Wow! Here's your sign...
OMG!!!
ReplyDeleteWAIT FOR IT !!!
... just hearing on WBOC it WAS GANG RELATED and ALL THE FREAKN SUDDEN the Salisbury States Attorney has "recognized there being a gang problem in the area , and have had several individuals under surveillance." LMAO
What a ass-clown ...
A week ago he saying "We have no gang problem in or around Salisbury..."blablabla.
Dear GOD saves us from these people...
Hey 5:36--No reason to be an ass.
ReplyDeleteThere is a difference between typical SLOW holiday traffic jams, and literally not a single car moving an inch for an hour. The roads were at a complete STOP starting just after 9:00, BEFORE I would think they would have blocked traffic for a fight that began inside. I'm wondering if this is the reason.
Next time instead of trying to call someone an idiot anonymously, have some balls and post your name.

My thoughts exactly-how can it be a gang from Salisbury when there are NO gangs in Salisbury-whata conondrum LOL these kids do not need a underage night club, they need a damn summer job!I wasnt allowed to raise hell and run wild all summer at that age.Thats why they get into trouble.Make em cut grass or wash cars or whatever it takes and learn responsibility at an early age
ReplyDeleteYes, they had to completly stop traffic due to the incident. It was nasty. It seems to me that OC is getting much more nastier. Weeks ago, you have the incident at Secrets. Now this. Robberies left and right down there. Its a total shame. I can remember when we use to take the kids down there and it was a nice place to go. Now, i wont even let me wife and her friends go walk the boardwalk past 7pm. Its that bad.
ReplyDeleteMost of the subjects that were arrested were from Salisbury. And they were gang members. SOmething has to be done about these kids. They are taking over the land.
Angela, i was with you in the traffic, we were stuck right in traffic at Worcester Street, just past the bus terminal. There were at least 25 cops down there, a horse, at least 2 k9 teams, cops were doing everything they possibly could do and it just wasnt enough. My hat goes off to those guys. They truely have there work cut out for them. They have to deal with the under 21 club, gangs, no more open containe law to lock up these kids, secrets, the new pool bar...it goes on and on....Hell might as well bring slots to give them some more stuff to handle.
A cop with a broken nose, a cop with a dog that bites him, a cop with a knee injury. Its sad. A few weeks ago, my neighbor, who is a OCPD officer broke his hand, cops are geting hurt day in and day out. Really sad. May god be with the OCPD and watch over them. Keep them safe.

To the a$$hole who wants me to post their comment actually trying to blame all of this on OC104, kiss my a$$! Don't come to this Blog trying to stir the sh!t!
ReplyDeletebut to blame the club is ok...so it's the clubs fault, the kids that were there...but not the station that was broadcasting asking their listeners to come down to the club...interesting...also love how you only post what you like...
ReplyDeleteYeah it was pretty awful. My hubby had a slight blonde moment that made the situation worse--he thought he was parked on Somerset Street, where you could just go hit St. Louis and go the back way to get to the 50 bridge, but nope.....we were on Wicomico, one street over. We had no choice but to wait it out too. Then as we were stuck just east of the Wicomico and Philadelphia intersection, this kid comes up behind us and backs into the car behind us. Meanwhile there was water up to our car doors. :( Guess it wouldn't have been so bad if the rain wasn't as nasty as it was. ALTHOUGH some of the people we saw walking through it were entertaining to say the least!
ReplyDeletelol....Joe.....you're so funny. You're the moderator, and you're censoring yourself.
ReplyDeleteSimple solution--close the club! The profits of the owners are not worth the security threat to everyone else. How protected was the rest of OC while the gang fools were requiring so much attention? They don't work, they don't pay taxes, they don't contribute--they are useless drains on society.
ReplyDeleteactually the states attorney has been saying there are gangs here, its the police chief and mayor that say no gangs and a city council that says crims is down and ok
ReplyDeleteSalisbury pd and council mayor would rather decieve the public and make them think there are no gang, hence no need for new officer or need to pay the current officers more so they can say he look at this nice beaufitful sewer Salisbury is becoming. Need a kick butt take names attitude style of police work to take affect. Main thing it needs to be from the administration down, not just select group on in the lower levels or the department. That's the only thing that will change the department. But no one wants to rock the boat, just make the money on the retirement job and coast into the golden oldies
ReplyDelete"Let's blame the club owners." "No wait, let's blame the radio station." "Nah, that's not good enough. Let's blame the mayor of salisbury"...... This doesn't sound ridiculous to anyone else but me? Wake up people!! A brawl starts at a club, and meanwhile out on the beach some poor woman gets a penis shoved in her mouth? Society as we know it is in a steady downward spiral. When are we all going to wake up and realize that the blame lies within each and every one of us. It is our responsibility to ensure that our children are taught lessons such as having respect for authority or even more simple things such as the showing respect for other people in general.
ReplyDeletebeing an american citizen is advanced citizenship. democracy only works if the citizens are able to contribute and help it grow. these type of people will never contribute a damn thing to society. they will constantly corrupt it, constantly drain it and eventually count on it for room and board wether inside or outside of prison. they have not one responsible bone in their body, they dont understand respect or responsibility for themselves or anyone else. they probably never will. they are destined to be part of the permanent under-class, constantly affectting society in a negative way. they believe that we all owe them something, that they have been short-changed in life somewhere. i dont feel we owe them shit. its their parents that owed them a proper up-bringing, its the schools that owed them an education, its they themselves that owed themselves a little self respect. how the hell are we supposed to make it in a global economy when we have generations of human garbage like this to contend with. enjoy now my poor pathetic morions, because in the new world coming this shit will all be stopped and you will be held accountable for all you do. almost forgot, their breeding new ones everyday, as fast as they can.
ReplyDelete9:40: I'm giving you a standing ovation in my living room right now.
ReplyDeleteIt starts with US, the parents. It starts with the examples we set for our children and the lessons we teach them. Its not the radio stations, its not the club owners, its not the towns or the people running them where it begins. It begins at home, at our dinner tables, in our back yards, in our playgrounds.
PEOPLE:
If you're not taking the time to teach your children the valuable lessons of life and how to live with other people, SOMEONE ELSE IS. Who would you rather teach your child morals?
If you're not taking the time to teach your sons to be men and your daughters to be women, SOMEONE ELSE IS. Who is shaping your child's mind?
If you're not teaching your children self respect and dignity, SOMEONE ELSE IS. Do you know how your children view themselves?
If you're not teaching your children to solve their problems with other people, SOMEONE ELSE IS. Does your child know where you keep your handgun?
If you're not teaching your children how precious and fragile life is, SOMEONE ELSE IS. Will they learn it when they are taken down in gang violence?
And for those fathers out there.....
Dads, if you don't give your daughters the attention they need, they will seek it from another man.
What kind of son do you want to raise? Because he's learning to be a man by watching you.
something i want to add, im talkin white and black, this aint a race problem.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the applause angela :-) I was glad to check back and see that there are actually others out there that feel similiar to the way I do. Even if you were laughing at me while I walked 15 blocks in the rain :-(
ReplyDeleteAwwww! Well, if you weren't acting like a maniac in a white dress that, lets face it, didn't even cover your crotch BEFORE it started raining, chances are I wasn't laughing at you :)
ReplyDeletePoor thing! We luckily got to our cars within moments of the downpour. So we got some drizzle, but that was it.
Arrested? WHY? The Judge will slap them on the wrist, give them PBJ and maybe say sin no more. What a joke our whole system is.
