  1. Barrie and Gary and Shanie live on the "right" side for the firehouse, Lynn and Wilber have a fire station right next door. People in the Camden area however are up the creek now. Wonder who lives in that area?

  2. Been saying this was a problem from day one. I would like someone to answer a simple question since this assinine decision has proven a tremendous liability. Who gets the lawsuit by the lack of critical response time for a life saving situation turned fatal? I also say the old Firehouse needs to be used as a backup.

  3. Absolutely, the old firehouse should be used as a backup; what are they doing with it anyway besides nothing?

  4. If they give that old firehouse away we should run Barrie and her minions out of town. There should be at least an ambulance stationed in that building.

  5. You can talk till your blue in the face and your voice will not be heard. The three Amigos believe they have created the perfect firehouse and any criticism is unwarranted. Anyone in the fire dept. who speaks out or questions things are quickly dealt with. They are threatened or eliminated so nothing but positive vibes are heard. THE BRIDGE IS A PROBLEM ! If you live in the Camden area and the bridge is up, you are screwed.

  6. Cant they just go around the bridge, what and lose 1minute maybe? I hope they did not sit and wait for the bridge to close?

  7. Does this mean that if a call is on the west side, and bridge is up when transporting to hospital, then the delay in transport means we should move hospital to west side, or fly them? Im confussed, what is your point?

  8. Hey I agree with all statements here. Yes bridge is a problem, yes we should keep 16, yes the clowns are a bunch of Dumb butts.

But, YOU CAN GO AROUND the bridge people. There has been delayed responses to the West side and no one complained.

POOR Decision on the building and strategy, it is an icon for Chief See. You should have built a sub station North and West for that money, I agree totally.

You are not locked out by water, there is a road around the bridge!

  11. If an ambulance had wings it could frickin' fly, it's a lot more than a minute to bybass the bridge, go up Isabella come back down Mills street then get to Camden and hope traffic isn't blocking Mills street. In a real emergency every second counts, it's truely a matter of life or death and some that just don't care and won't listen.

  12. We can only hope that the witch, her two ugly step sisters and "special" brother bubba get into an accident on Camden and have to wait forever to get assistance. I also wonder if the SFD know it's the mare or bubba hopefully they may drag their feet just a bit. They have waited long enough for their promised raises.

  13. dont they have since enough to go down isabella street.

  14. This important component was not thought out at all by SFD or the Mayor--she knows nothing about running anything, including our City. She has left no sector of the City untouched by her ill-conceived ideas--including that crazy Isabella Street idea.

  15. On a lighter note, I can remember 27 years ago living on the west side and my wife going into labor at 3 in the morning. We were heading to the Hospital down Fitzwater St. and the bridge was up. I thought this only happened in the movies!!! Fortunately we knew you could go up Lake St. to Isabella and down past Salisbury Brick to Division and on to the Hospital. We made it in time!

  16. Sounds like piss poor planing on the EMS Crews driving decision. They can get around the bridge from both sides if they take Isabella & Mill Street. I do it all the time in my personal vehicle and use this route when I respond from the west side of the county on our ambulance. You know "Piss Poor Prior Planning on their part shouldn't create a crisis on somebody elses"

  18. Anon 9:37.....The EMS crew did go around the bridge. Get your story straight, before you go starting a war about the fire department again. The comment was just being used in general about the bridges being up after "bubba" said they were rarely used anymore.

  19. When the bridge goes up, the sfd should be NOTIFIED. And, as soon as they (bridge tenders) know it's gonna happen!

  20. the bridge between Lake St and Mill St on Isabella has a weight restriction or does no one care if it collapse from excess usage violating the weight restriction.

  21. WOW! The bridge was up.........and your point is? It is, after all A DRAWBRIDGE!ovagnvt

  22. Consider this scenario. Bridge is up, it's rush hour, traffic is backed up on Mill St and Isabella St trying to get around the bridge. Emergency call comes in. Fire Trucks cant enter Eastbound 50 because traffic is backed up in all lanes. They can't get across Isabella because traffic is backed up, Can't get down Mill because traffic is backed up. They can't hardly be expected to sway around Barries street scaped cluster f**k and they can't ride with one side of the truck up on the clusterf**k without risking turning the trucks over. They can't send Brown Street out because they're busy on the North end of town. They can't send Beaglin Park out because they're busy on Milford St.

    NOW WHAT?

Before everyone relies so heavily on the Isabella St bridge, you might want to spend some of that SVFD money to reinforce it. There are weight restrictions for a reason.

Wow weight restrictions on the bridge!! Does that mean bubba and shamie can't drive across it?

  25. If Isabella st is jammed up with traffic then they can go North on Lake St to Jersey Rd to Naylor Mill to Northwood Dr back to Rt 13 South to where ever they need to go to.
