Just A Little Reminder

I'm not letting this subject on the deer at the Zoo go until something has been done about it. What say you now Mayor Tilghman?

  3. This subject saddens my heart....this poor innocent animal!
How can the mayor let this happen & continue to do nothing about it!?
This is surely helping her reputation as such a fine mayor!!
Keep on her Joe....hopefully something will be done!

  4. Why do we even have a "common" animal like a deer at our ZOO? Isn't that about as odd as having kittens and bunnies there?

I thought the idea of a zoo is to see animals you wouldn't normally see in your yard.

  5. Gary Muir, (Salisbury Zoo Curator) has insisted on having deer there because it allegedly makes the HUNTERS happy?????

As if they don't see enough of them in the woods!

  6. This is extremly sad. What can we do? Should we call the mayor's office and complain , call the zoo? I am willing to do what needs to be done to help this poor animal.

That animal should be put to rest so it stops suffering....DO THE RIGHT THING MAYOR TILGHMAN and put some of your focus on that animal!!! YOUR AN IDIOT!! I hope this website continues to make you look stupid!!!

  9. The big question is "Why has the zoo vet not done something for this animal?" He can order it put out of this misery, no matter what the mayor says. Also, it seems to me that the deer take up quite a bit of space at the zoo, and we don't really need them on exhibit as someone has said!

  10. she dosent care about dumping sewage and heavy metals in peoples back yards, killing fish, waterfowl and wildlife, tainting ground water, the river and the bay.....destroying a city, hidding millions, abandoning infostructure, outragous tax hikes, on and on and on, cant you see the tumors upon your own heads? cant you see the quality of life she robs us all of?........ you really think she gives a ratsass about 1 deer? The deer is the lucky one, he dosent have to decide whether to eat or pay taxes to the queen!

  11. The deer have more space to roam than the bison that need the room. I can't even look at that photo of the deer, the first time I saw it, I became nauseous and continue to feel that way everytime that photo is posted.

Well, they do have bunnies. ive been told these were "resued" deer from car accidents. Ever notice how the one cant keep its tounge in its mouth?

  13. How is this the mayor's fault exactly? She's the mayor of a city, not a vet. Doesn't it fall on the zoo employees and administration, and, I don't know, mother nature? Believe me, I'm no fan of Mayor Tilghman, but you mouthbreathing retards who blame her for everything are pathetic.

  14. I wage the queen will have this Idol, representing seige, anger and uproar of the pheasants....beheaded and it's carcus cast into the River of Death...as a symbol and warning to all who dare to approach her to protest and question her infinant wisdom

  15. The deer didn't get hurt from a car accidenmt. The deer kapt running face first into the fence because they kept scaring it half to death and it broke its jaw, Idiot. Get your facts straight. My EWife worked with that animals, (or should I say at the Zoo) for 18 years.

  16. the buck for everything STOPS at the mare's desk, or supposed to anyway. the mare might like to wake up with the decapitated head of that animal at the foot of her bed in the morning.

if it were an animal of mine and knew it was suffering I would take care of ot myself if I had to.

  17. The mayor and her ass kissers voted to let the deer be, just as it is.

Mighty white of all of them, that includes you to Shameless Shanie. All you need stamped on your forehead now is OREO for all to see.

  18. The zoo staff and the mayor herself have made it very clear that the quality of life is not a priority at the Salisbury Zoo. What a disgrace.

  19. "The deer have more space to roam than the bison that need the room."

Um, yeah. Why do the deer (and the foxes for that matter) have more space to roam than the bison? Remember when there was a whole herd of bison in that tiny space? Someone should get on someone about the space the bison are stuffed into...

"The big question is "Why has the zoo vet not done something for this animal?" He can order it put out of this misery, no matter what the mayor says."

I am no vet, but I am guessing that the zoo vet hasn't put the deer out of its misery because it isn't miserable. I am thinking that the deer has some kind of non-malignant tumor thing going on. I've seen such on a Charlet beef cow before...

  20. I totally agree...don't let this get swept under the carpet.
This little guy needs someone on his side...I said on another blog that we should protest out front of the zoo. It's sick that this has gone on and ignored for so long.
