Isabella Street

Joe,

I was riding down Isabella Street today and just realized that when they installed the calmers they also installed brick sidewalks in half the sidewalks. Iall the discussions ive been involved in with the city and everone else not one time did i hear brick sidewalks mentioned . The mayor really sneaked one in on us with that one. It's no wonder the price of the project went from $80,000.00 to $210,000.00!

There is no limit to the underhanded things those people will do. COME ON ELECTION TIME!!!

  1. A total embarassment to us all! I have never in my life seen something as stupid as this. F' 'em. I just barre straight down the middle (when of course no one is coming) and don't lose a minutes worth of time. I actually believe people go out of their way just to speed and swerve since it's there.

One other thought, Oh Righteous City of Salisbury Who Doesn't Need to Answer to Anyone, how in the F will you handle plowing snow down this stretch when the time comes? BTW, it looks like SHI* with only have the sidewalks bricked. If you're going to spend like Annapolis, at least look like it. IDIOTS!

We should all march on Town Hall.

  2. Joe. Everytime I see a headline like this I remind our/your community; Look out for not just yourself, but your relatives and friends and neighbors. Come election day, their passionate voice is stifled if they are unable/unwilling to actually make their voice count with an OFFICIALLY TALLIED VOTE. I will remind your community again if this later post gets lost in the vapor, but Joe: If you want to help Salisbury start working now on a grass-roots effort to make sure every "homegrown" city voice gets to that polling place on election day (and even before that that they are a registered voter for this November). Even if you shell out several hundred bucks from your own pocket, the long-term investment may be worth untold hundreds of millions (I really do not think this is hyperbole...I believe I am currently preaching in your choir)). Fight these entrenched fat bastards in office like the Varmint Cong/Fedayeen fights us.....and in the end there will be a cleaner slate where we can build a foundation to improve.

  3. Incredible, isn't it. I thought the OTHER way, with the breakaway poles things was idiotic. Now I see what idiotic really looks like.
Who approved this fiasco? Who approved the increased cost? Who's going to pay to tear it down when the next administration comes in?
Can these people be any stupider?
(The last question was rhetorical, we all know the answer is no.)
