"7/1/08 9:25 PM 710 Oak Hill Av Firearms Incident 200800023094 Unfounded" That's what's listed on the Salisbury Police Departments Website, UNFOUNDED.
However, there were multiple calls that went into the SPD about these gun shots going off and because they didn't find any shell casings, it's unfounded.
Boy Chiefy, you sure do know how to report things to the State without looking too awfully bad, eh? We can't find the shells, so it obviously never happened and the people calling into the Station should be arrested for giving false information, RIGHT?
Do you really expect the gun casings to just be laying in the middle of the street. I am sure if there was a 12-15 shot shoot out they would be all over the place, bushes, yards, around houses......Think
ReplyDeleteThis time of year, it's most likely fireworks.
ReplyDeleteI was on the next street down, Ridge Rd, but I only heard one shot. It was around 9:35. I kept telling myself thats not a gun shot, but I was wrong I guess.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not, the police department has reports of shootings and trouble in one spot so that the gangs and other self proclaimed trouble makers can move about without any trouble from the cops...
ReplyDelete& yes the dapartment knows this, but its not like they can get a call for gun shots and not go check it out...
boy this is real leadership here buddy.
ReplyDeleteOne night last week, don't remember which, I heard 6 shots around 11pm and they all occurred in about a 6 minute span. Thought about calling but decided not to.
ReplyDeleteI live on Riverside and heard one shot for sure-did not sound like fireworks. We have plenty of those and know what they sound like.
ReplyDeleteFriday is the 4th of July....Hmmm I wonder if possibly..oh, never mind, for this is the most dangerous city in the western hemisphere. The sky is falling Chicken Little!
ReplyDeleteFire crackers sound like maybe the pop of a .22 Cal, now a Smith & Wesson 357 magnum sounds like a cannon going off, there is no mistaking the two at all.
ReplyDeleteAre the only guns in town automatics? Hasn't any of our police ever heard of a revolver, they leave no casings.
ReplyDeleteHeck save those brass casings, recycle, good money for brass these days.
ReplyDeleteAutomatic weapons are against the law. I have two semi-automatics with plenty of clips. With just two clips I can ring off 19 shots with accuracy in less than 25 seconds. One even has a scope, wish suppressers were legal.
As I live in the exact area I went outside on the night in question. After investigating I found there were no gun shots just some college kids lighting fire crackers. From inside my home it did sound like gun shots so I can understand all the phone calls to the police.
