Could It Be Bubba?

"Joe,

I have a son with Spina Bifida. Even though we qualify for a Handicap Permit, we choose to simply park as close as we can and assist him in walking. Having a handicapped child will open your eyes to the world around you. As we were leaving Home Depot today, we walked past this car. It caught our attention in two ways. One because it was a nice car, but TWO because even though there was no handicap tag or placard, the owner somehow felt he qualified for the spot. I guess it was a Mental Handicap!"

  2. I guess if you own a porche you feel like you have enough money to pay for the ticket. The hell with the handicap kid.

  3. Why worry about paying the ticket for parking in a handicap space. There is no police around to catch them, just at the post office on RT 50, there full most of the time. And what get's me are the one's that either park next to you so close, and don't even have a place card. Or as you are trying to get out of your car, to go into a store, there are the ones that leave there car or truck park in the FIRE LANE, now that really piss me off. But as always were are the police to catch them, they are no were to be found in the city...

  4. Next time, call the police. Most I know will hurry over to give a ticket because they despise people like this. I keep the non-emergency number in my cell phone for both city and county. Of course, it is possible that the person simply forgot to put up the hangtag. Been there, done that, but not often.

  6. Look at the tags , maybe they have
laws for Del. residents that are
different . I know when they use a
boat ramp in Maryland they have a
    complete lack of brains .

  7. He figured his pretty lil car would be safer there with more space around it. Someone should have rammed it with a shopping cart.Next time take the time to line carts all the way around it.

  8. So, you are telling me that if you saw a Salisbury City Police Officer walking around parking lots putting tickets on people's cars that were parked in handicapped parking spots, you wouldn't suggest that they should have something else better to do?? You can't make everyone happy.

  11. There are a lot of lazy A***** out there. I see this kind of crap all the time up at the parking area's for Deers Head Hospital. But some are there to pick up handicapped patients, so you have to be careful who you challege on it.

  12. A. Goetz--unless you have the person's handicapped tag, you may not park in a handicapped space if you are picking them up. I know it kind of stinks, but that's the law.

  13. You know damned well Bubba's fat ass isn't going to fit in that small car.

  14. I deal with this crap all the time. Ever since I started using a wheelchair it's amazing what true idiots are out there. Not sure which is my favorite...this one or how they keep driving by when I'm trying to get across the parking lot without them slowing down or even stopping.

  15. Before the ignorant people again pick on the police...........did anyone ever look at Maryland Law and see that this very violation is enforceable only where properly marked by law....and again the owner of this lot has fell short in proprly posting spots as the law requires
