  5. bwaaaaaaahahahahahaha so Chiefy wasted a ton of money and time trying to sue you and ended up with bupkis. What happens next with the mayors lawsuit? There are going to be a lot of upset anti-alberos out there today. Congratulations, it does my heart good to see the Chief who lied about his residence, (hmmm isn't that perjury?)fail at shutting you up or down. Shouldn't the chief of police know that giving false information on an official document is an unlawful act?

  7. I guess it is safe to assume that you can not say anything about the case. I am sure your posts on will indicate who has won

  8. Will Barrie cave and come to an agreement? Stay tuned for the next episode of As Salisbury Collapses.

  11. I'm not a fan of Webster, but I feel for him being made by Barrie Tilghman to start this suit. Hope he sends his legal bill to her if she's not paying it already.

  17. No matter about gag order, etc.--Joe won. Just returned from visit to two professional offices--both with staff buzzing about Joe's victory and his website. Forget the newspaper--Joe's the best!

everyone oughtta hear today's Neal Boortz show about other government "Pirates".
It would seem that we're not alone.
Hopefully the cop now knows he's not above the law either and just how frivlous this suit really was.(past tense as opposed to the earlier "is".)
    Congratulations.
Wonder what tomorrow's headline in the daily rag will say.

  19. I'm glad to see that Joe is a class act and knows how to man up. Its time to mends some fences and acheive something good, if not for us then the good for our children. As Joe has stated in the past we need to take back our communites.

  20. Joe:

I paid Duvafiles to drive to the court and do a live spot after the trial today, but now I can't get my money back, so I need a good lawyer. Who was yours?

  21. chiefy want a pow-wow.

  22. Inquiring Minds Want To Know:

Who paid Webster's legal bills - him, Barrie, the City?

Don't expect to learn by reading the Daily Times.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Dear 9:58 silly person...

My brother is an attorney in another state. He thought the charges were pretty weak.

It was settled on "non-monetary" terms.

Webster was suing Joe, and for $9,999 -- NOT the other way around.

Webster had the point to prove, Joe only had to defend against it.

If this got dropped without a monetary settlement, Webster must have finally taken his attorney's advice that this was a ridiculous suit to begin with.

I'm almost like 9:57 in the sympathy department. Barrie likely put Webster up to it to see if she should follow suit (now was that pun intended? hmmm)

I'm thinking of starting a pool to see if she caves the same way. My bet is yes.

  24. I knew it!!! The Chief would have to be a total moron to want a public debate over whether he really was this or really was that--even if he had "won" he would not have won by having a public discussion about the merits of his character. BPT will do the exact same thing. This was all a game of chicken and you hung in there longest.

    ReplyDelete
  25. somebody send chiefy a diaper.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Please:

Someone tell Barrie & On the Cuff why Webster will soon be terminated.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Can't wait to see how Bassett & Bill Duvall spin this story. The more they trash Joe the better he gets.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 10:55 & 9:57 -

Unless Barrie held a gun to his head, Webster is fully responsible, even if she or the City of Salisbury paid his legal fees.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hey Chiefy:

    Winners never quit!
    Quitters never win!

  30. all the queens horses
    and all the queens men
    couldnt knock joe over again

  31. 11:06:

Did you ever think that Duvall and Bassett would be peas in the same pod?

  33. the case is over. soon will be recorded and on public record for anyone who wants to view the real thing.
the state web site only posts the docket entries, so you will have to go to the court house... in about 2 weeks, if you're that interested. And, even with a "gag", at some point in time can be openly discussed by all parties, unless there's a "in perpetuity" gag clause...which I've never heard.
    The BEST man won!

    ReplyDelete
  34. AND THE WINNER IS:

    JOE ALBERO!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Still don't see anything about this("Red Net Alert") on Duvafiles. Maybe he's really in Snow Hill waiting for the court show to start.

    ReplyDelete
  36. thank-you, "perry mason".

    ReplyDelete
  37. Amazing, when the police department passes out information on a need to know basis they are covering something up, when joe does it, he's a hero, or would that be a hypocrite?

    ReplyDelete
  38. What I am reading between the lines here is that chief dropped the lawsuit. This means you can search court records all you want and there will be no judgment. Am I right, Joe? Basically, this could be considered a victory for Joe, and if Barrie-marey is smart, she'll quit now. Will Joe now sue to recover legal fees? I doubt it. He is a better man that that.. Kudos, Joe.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Mr/Ms 2 PM --

Surely the settlement agreement waives any/all liability for the other guy's legal fee -- am I right, Joe?

    ReplyDelete
  40. . . . and this is just in from the GOB:

Mayor Tilghman is out of the office this afternoon to help Ron Alessi do quality control sampling at the Wicomico County Liquor Stores.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Offices all over town are tuned in to Joe's blog--it's amazing to walk in and see his site up on the computer screens!

Would hate to be working anywhere around Barrie today--she's buzzed up am sure!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Still nothing on "Duvafiles" about this -- his silence is deafening!

You can only imagine how Duvall would be crowing if Joe had lost in court.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Memo to Matt Tilghman:

    Suggest not going home tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Barrie and Webster were stupid to bring these suits on in the first place.

All they did was call attention to themselves as fools, opponents of free speech and increase Joe's hit numbers.

    Dumb and dumber.

    ReplyDelete
  45. MATT:

She'll be in orbit by 5 PM pal. Better call ghostbusters, not AA.

    ReplyDelete
  46. When they wake up Duvall for his PM meds, maybe they will tell him about the "outcome".

    ReplyDelete
  47. Chiefy shoulda used Wilber, right?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Inquiring Minds Ask:

How will this affect Bubba Comegys campaign to become "R Necks Mare"?

    ReplyDelete
  49. CONGRATULATIONS JOE!!!

This is the best news I have heard all week.

We all knew that the Chief did not have a case but its nice to see this end for you.

Just my opinion but I think the first classy thing Albero did was not counter sue Webster or Tilghman. That says more than you know to any respectable Judge. Kudos to you Mr. Albero. This result was well deserved.

Yes this demonstrated a lot of self control on Joe's part. Most people would have countersued for stupid money.

I personally know Joe and can tell anyone for a fact, this was not about the money.

    SCORE ONE FOR FREE SPEECH

    ReplyDelete
  50. and zero for the simpletons....
    oh wait....was that slander?????

    ReplyDelete
  51. Congratulations Joe! Have you ever noticed that a stuckeys pecan log resembles a hard pushing bowel movement after a second helping of sucatash.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Boss Hogg, excellent comment!

In answer to the question about how does this affect Gary Comegys' run for mayor...

    The answer is...

    Barrie = Gary

    ReplyDelete
  53. Congratulations, Joe! No doubt the mare's stupid lawsuit will meet a similar end soon.

    ReplyDelete
  54. If only those commenters knew the truth, eh Joe? Be careful.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ok, 6:33. You know "the truth"?

    Then say it.

    No?

Then shut up. You're just a punk verbal drive-by shooter.

I hate that, "I know something but I'm not telling." It even pisses me off when Joe does it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hey 6:33-- care to elaborate?

    ReplyDelete
  57. OOOOHHHH OOOHHHH anon 6:33,
I hope Joe's scared...we all are, alittle bit.
    Grow up.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Joe is hero to we ordinary citizens of Salisbury who have been put down, bullied and verbally assaulted by Barrie and many of those in her administration. Thanks, Joe.
