ATTENTION COUNTRY SINGER WANNABE'S: Tonight is your *BIG* nite to perform live on the stage at the Pocomoke Cypress Festival. Cat Country Radio 97.5 & 105.9 will be hosting the DelMarVa STAR competition starting at 6:00 PM. YOU MUST REGISTER ON-SITE & IN PERSON REGISTRATION STARTS 1-HOUR BEFORE THE COMPETITION.
The Cat Country radio team is a great group who has a lot of *FUN* with this event. The rules are pretty loose with competition open to anyone over 18-years of age, register on-site & the number of contestants is only limited by the amount of time. There should be room for everybody who wants to sing their favorite country tune on-stage tonight.
This event is one of the highlights of the Pocomoke Cypress Festival and it's been called "A sober Karaoke version of American Idol..." right in our own backyard.
Last years winner was Jamie Parker of Millsboro, DE pictured with radio personalities Dixie & Wade Perdue.
The prizes are pretty good this year with the GRAND PRIZE being tickets for two on a luxury 'CAT COUNTRY' Caribbean cruise. They will enjoy 6 days & 5 nights on board the Carnival Destiny cruising to Grand Turk (capital of the Turks & Caicos), Half Moon Cay (Carnival's private island) and Nassau in the Bahamas!
Runner up prizes include tickets to see Martina McBride or Tim Mcgraw performing live, FOUR-HOURS of professional studio time to cut your own CD or professional demo.
The Jewelers Bench in Salisbury has donated a CUSTOM MADE 14-karat white gold pendant or tie tack (your choice) as a runner up prize.
Anyone who listens to CAT COUNTRY knows they like to give away special prizes on the spot and of course interviews on the radio with famous personalities.
Pocomoke City invites every Karaoke Country singer from Wilmington to Cape Charles & points in between to c'mon down to the Cypress Festival and give it your best shot. You know who you are singing at Banana Joe's Bar, time to be that next country superstar.
If you can sing, come and down and give it whirl, who knows you may be the next Delmarva Country Star!
