The Salisbury Police Department has responded to a number of burglaries of local business in the last month that resulted in damage to the businesses and the theft of property. This has occurred eleven (11) times and on each occasion glass was broken from a window or door to make entry. Once entry was made, the suspect(s) quickly took property from the store then exited through the same opening. Most of the businesses were in close proximity to Rt. 13, and with the exception of two (2), were located in the southern end of Salisbury. Those two (2) exceptions were on North Salisbury Boulevard. Most of the property taken has involved U.S. Currency and electronic equipment such as cellular telephones and ipods. On two (2) occasions suspects have been observed by witnesses exiting the businesses and have been described as: three (3) young black males, medium build, and wearing all dark clothing.
If anyone has information regarding these burglaries they are asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 410-548-3165 CC # 200800022449
Yeah, and we don't have a crime problem.
ReplyDeleteWe have police all over this town, how are we not able to catch the people targeting these local businesses? This is no different than the guys asking for change for a $20 and snatching all the money out of the drawer and THEY HAD A GUN. My girlfriend works at one of the cellphone stores that had this exact incident happen about a month or two ago where they smashed the window trying to get in. What happens when they get even more ballsy and decide to just go for armed robbery? Shouldn't this be a pretty big priority for SPD? Anybody walking the streets that late at night wearing all dark clothes should automatically raise a red flag for law enforcement no matter where they are.
ReplyDeletespeaking of crime... the fab five in the landfill have be recharged with the crimes except Paul... and trial dates are soon...
ReplyDeleteHas Paul got away with this one????? Or did he cut a deal with the courts???
Recently I was told that there were break-ins on my road. I had no idea, I have not seen any report, in the paper, on the news, why not? That scares me. I am beginning to believe Joe that there is a huge "cover up" about crime here in Wicomico by the media. So, folks, lets get busy...we have a right to know.
ReplyDeleteLet's see, # 1 males dressed in black shirts and pants wearing sneakers... Well that narrows it down.
