Have you been a Victim of someone stealing gas from one of your vehicles?
I have been receiving calls from Citizens telling me their stories and there's been nothing mentioned about it in the Press.
One friend is on Snow Hill Road and another on Spring Ave, both fell victim of stolen gas from their vehicles. One was a full tank of gas from a van, 35 gallons!
So the question is, how many other people has this happened to and nothing has been said? I remember back in the 1970's this was a huge problem nation wide. Are we back to the days where there's a line to purchase locking gas caps?
If I were you, do it now. Get those locking gas caps and go to the Dealer and get the one made specifically for your vehicle. Fortunately most everything we have already came with a locking door and or gas cap.
We want to know. Has it happened to you, a friend, a relative?
The locking gas caps, will not stop them. The technique there using now is punch the tank with a screwdriver and let it drain into a container. Hopefully one will catch a spark and blow them up.

ReplyDeleteThen they'll start sueing you because you didn't have your gas tank properly grounded or one made of plastic.
Yeah, a police officer where I live told a group that same thing, and if it's amateurs trying to get it with a syphon from the top, they rip up your car prying off the locking gas cap! Sounds like it's better to just take your chances. I'm cleaning out the garage so the car will fit, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI had gas siphoned out of my vehicle while I was working in the mall several years ago, and it was covered by WBOC News.
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is, why has the government not mandated lower speed limits to save gas? Back in the 1970's during an oil embargo, they did just that. Driving at slower speeds does significantly raise your mpg. So why have lower speed limits not been mandated by our government? Do you think that maybe it's because our so-called "president" is an oil baron? Hmmm...
what do you thinks gonna happen in a year when its $6.00 a gallon. our capitalistic society is crumbling around us, you have to blind or in the seventh cycle of denial not to see it. shit will really get bad when states start appling to the u.n. for independent sovernty. its gonna be wild.
ReplyDeletemost cars are fuel injection now.
ReplyDeletebefore fuel injction carburated
cars used less fuel at speeds under 55mph.it would'nt work as well

I hear bubba has some gas that he can't give away. He is constantly burping and farting during he council meetings.
ReplyDeleteOur neighbor parked their van in the BWI airport parking lot and they had their catalytic converter stolen. People are now going for that. Its easy to cut off the car and has platinum inside. Seems its also a problem in other areas as well.
