SALISBURY REALLY LOOKS BAD!

Joe:

I just came home from in town - (Salisbury) -at 9:15 p.m.

My wife and I made a trip in town to try and escape our own home for an hour or two.

I passed by the -(Crack) - Royal Farm store - but decided the crowd looked to cede so I made a U-turn and decided instead to go to WAWA. When I got to WAWA it looked like there were hookers hanging out in front of the pay phones and also what looked like to be their pimps.

I actually locked my P/U in front of the gasoline pump so as not to give anyone the wrong idea about stealing from my vehicle.

Then, when passing down in front of Pepsi Cola on my return trip home I saw two City Police officers interceding in a fracas at Pizza City.

SALISBURY IS REALLY LOOKING BAD IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED LATELY.

I'm just happy to have made it back home to my house in Parsonsburg.

Thought you might be interested.

  1. A few weeks ago, my husband & I wanted some fried chicken for dinner, so we drove into Popyes on north 13. He stayed in the car & I went in to order. While waiting in line forever, I witnessed an argument between a customer & an employee, it got pretty rough! They obviously knew each other. One couple in line walked out without ordering. When I finally got back to the car, my husband said he witnessed 3 drug deals right in the parking lot. A female employee came out the front door, pulled a baggie from her pocket picked something out of it and gave it to a guy who then gave her money. He also saw the same thing happening from the back area. This was in broad daylight and no one seemed to be worried about being seen. I was close to calling the cops but I wanted to get out of there in one piece. I hope the police know this is happening & comes down on them for this. I sure miss English Grill north & south for a bucket of chicken!

  2. It seems that the Daily Slime does not want to address the fact that there is PROSTITUTION going on in the City of SBY. I have written to the grapevine several times about this matter and they refuse to print the subject matter. But when you have PROSTITUTION taken place in the area of city playgrounds it's getting bad. I know of two areas one is DOVERDALE PLAYGROUND. They wait till the late afternoon, and start to have their sex on the tables and benches. They don't care if there are kids playing on the swings or other equipment there. They want a fix of drugs or money to hold them over. You can see them walking down the streets of Brown ST, Liberty ST, Truitt ST and Dover ST. They also have this problem over on New York Ave Playground.
But it seems that SBY has no crime or PROSTITUTION taking place.
And it has been stated on the City Council that there is no crime in the city, and there is no need for more police officers to be hired.
The Mayor has really screwed the citizens as long as she has been in office.

  3. Tell you what its getting worse every where . Its out of hand . Its like going to a candy store wow I want this and take that . And they don't hide it whatthe hell is going on . Come on officers get your job done we need this town clean up and Ocean City big time .

  4. Interesting you say that, I thought it was me being critical. We are in Georgia and will come home tomorrow. The roadways need to be picked up and where are the prisoners who usually clean up the side of the roads? Guess it was too hot for them to work. OH well, everything around Salisbury is starting to look "shabby", or should I say "crappy"! What a shame. Our city was so pretty. I had grandkids and took them to Ben's Red Swings, that was the only CLEAN place to go. The main park area is a disaster!

  5. Folks, a couple of suggestions.

When you witness a crime like drug dealing, leave the area, then call the cops. This lady's husband might have been able to identify the female employee at Popeye's and she might have "given up" somebody higher up to save her butt.

If you call and the Salisbury police have no one to send, you can send a thank you note to Shanie "Crime is not a problem" Shields, Gary "The fire department volunteers need toys" Comegys, and Louise "I go along with whatever Gary and Shanie want" Smith for not working with Campbell and Cohen to fund more police officers.

  6. Has it ever occurred to these people possibly witnessing these so called "drug deals" that they may be controlled under cover buy made by the police. Stop critizing the police because they are your first line of protection to your homeland security.

  7. The whole town is going to be one big slum area thanks to Barrie Tilghman - she does not see anything wrong with drug deals, gangs, breakins, prostituion, etc. I blame Webster too. I realize his hands may be tied by the witch, but if you happen to be someone who cannot stand on your own two feet and face the music if you have to, then this is what the residents of Salisbury get. And, apparently he cannot do that. Not only do we need a new mayor, we need a new police chief and city council (although we can keep C&C), they happen to be the only ones with any sense. And, thank you Joe for bringing all of this to our attention. I happen to like being in the know about what's happening in Salisbury and you are the only one who is bringing that to us.

My dear, if you would read the posts, they are critizing the CITY POLICE...didn't you notice? Joe will post this crap as long as it does not involve his Super Mike the Sheriff. He will only post your comment if it degrades the City Police. I read a post here earlier in the week that stated the magnificent Sheriff Deputies are seen everywhere. Well obviously not if all of this illegal activity is taking place in public. Where is Mikey now Joe? I thought we lived in a safer envirement with those professiomal deputies. PLEEEEZE!!

  9. 2 semi-automatics is my homeland security

  10. Protecting the "Homeland" sounds German to me. When did we Americans start using language like that? Wasn't it about the time the Germans took over our Government? Protect our City for Pete's sake. Forget about the homeland and all the rest of that Patriot Act bull.

  11. 12:36 you need to cut the crap. Everyone, especially JOE knows the SPD officers hands are tied by that thing sitting in the $2400 chair on the 3rd floor. Yeah, that's right Jack n Coke sits in a chair they paid $2400 while the working police officers have to beg for scraps and then they don't even get the scraps they were promised.

It's not hard to favor Mike Lewis over Alan Webster. Mike Lewis is a man that does his job. Alan Webster wouldn't make a patch on Mike Lewis's ass. I guess it's Joe's fault SPD has sorry leadership?

Watch what happens when SPD officers are under real leadership. You'll see them doing their job knowing they have the support of their chief.

Another thing. How can you expect police officers to bust drug dealers when they are given orders to STAND DOWN? At one time this was the order for the Naylor & Church Sts intersection. They made it easier to get dope there when they put the 4 way stop up.

Going to be??? It already is. You tell me where there is one safe neighborhood to live in the city limits of Salisbury. I dare you to name a good neighborhood in the city limits. The challenge is on and I doubt seriously that no one can come up with a good neighborhood in Salisbury.

  14. Anon 7:49 pm - Barrie's neighborhood I guess!

  15. I agree, I don't see the spd doing much to prevent major crimes. Even DUIs seem to be done by the State Troopers instead of local cops. The only places I have seen spd around are when they're doing speed traps or giving out noise violations to college kids.

  16. Why don't they do some hooker stings like they show on "COPS"?
Knowing you might be put on TV and have your wife and friends find out is a great deterrent.

    ReplyDelete
  17. blue....its done, they do these stings regularly! They do buys...regularly! They do prostitution stings often! Its out of control, and sorry, but with 80 some officers its impossible to see it all!

  18. But the mare and majority of the council says that SPD doesn't need more officers, it must be true?

    ReplyDelete
  19. The mare needs to put down her bottle of Johnnie Walker Red or is it Black...whatever, and see the ghetto she created. She's following in the footsteps of her hero, O'Malley.

    ReplyDelete
  20. She likes to spend alot of $$$ so its more like Johnnnie Walker BLUE!
(and yes there is a JW Blue)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yup Johnny Walker Blue is probably close to if not over $175 for a 5th. That's why her and Lore' need those big raises, got to keep up with the Jone's ya know.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thats about right-unless you want the 200th Anniversary bottle-A 750ml 200th Anniversary JW Blue crystal decanter is $3,499.00 !!!!
Hey,thats what happened to the police budget!

  23. And when you see good cops at SPD doing great work it seems other officers in other local agencies always seem to have something negative to say. I'll even mention the disgusting lack of support from the citizens. Overworked, and under appreciated, seems to me like they should all give up. I wouldn't blame them at all.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The problem with SPD is not in the ranks-they can only be as good as their leadership-and they deserve decent pay so they can retain the quality officers instead of losing them to other agencies.
