Question of the Day, Mon 6/16

If you could teach your spouse one thing, what would it be?

  1. Clean up after himself, especially when I am gone for prolonged periods of time due to business or family. He has been known to leave dishes in the sink for more than a month!

  2. I have DESPERATELY been trying to help him see that you find what you look for in life. When you look for bad, controversy, stress, etc., that's what you will find, and it will consume you. If you look for good, compassion, and happiness, you'll feel much better in the long run because that's what you'll find.

That's not to say that you should ignore reality altogether and live in la la land, but it does make things easier when you try to find good in all, rather than seek out the bad.

  8. To Clean as He Goes!

If he would clean as he's working then there's not a big mess in the end.

    Oh, and stop making piles.

  9. That even after 20 years, I still like the little things. Flowers now and then, a small surprise here and there - not for a special occasion, just out of the blue.

  14. TO love more, and unconditionally. He was hurt by his ex-wife, and has a really hard time with his feelings. I wish he would understand it's ok to show emotion, and say 'I Love You.' I know he loves me, but I never hear it unless I say it 1st.

  22. I'd like to teach him that there isn't a "magic person" who runs around and does all the things necessary to keep our household running smoothly. I actually do all these jobs, from start to finish. Oh, and it would be great if he would actually COMPLETE a task...even if he somehow finishes something, I usually have to clean up his "work site" and put away the tools or whatever he was using.
