McDonald's In Fruitland Sucks

Yesterday a friend of mine went to the McDonald's near the Bowling Alley on Rt. 13 to pick up a cup of iced coffee. She went through the Drive Thru and by the time she was pulling away she took one sip and stopped dead in her tracks, parked the car and went inside to get her money back or get a FRESH cup.

To make a long story short, while standing in line one of the employees dumped a 3 or 5 gallon bucket of iced tea on this friend, completely drenching her from head to toe, as well as some other people standing there.

Not once did they apologize, seriously! My friend's Husband got on the phone and called corporate McDonald's and they did nothing. She had to call into work and tell them she was going to go all the way back home, take a shower, get dressed and then finally come into work. The time lost here was also unreal.

Not for nothing Folks but I NEVER, and I do mean NEVER go to McDonald's, period. This will keep me away for yet another 20 years!

  1. The only fast food on the shore that I have found with good customer service is Hardee's in Princess Anne. Those people have great work and customer service ethics.

  4. I predict another large settlement from the McDonalds corporation. Might not be 9 million for hot coffee but iced tea has got to be worth at least 4 million

  5. For Outstanding Food & Service - every time - Try Chick-Fil-A

  9. Here's another vote for Chik-Fil-A.
All drive-thrus everywhere should be run by the Chik-Fil-A staff. The food is always fresh too!

  10. McDonalds iced tea was good when it came out but the last few times I've gotten the kids a happy meal the iced tea sucked at several of the locations, from salisbury to annapolis. The Chic-fila name is golden in my book. Not a bad meal at five locations from salisbury to bowie.

  11. Eat a fish caught in the Wicomico River or eat at a fast food restaurant?
    I'd rather starve to death!
The experiences would all result in my demise, but the latter would be the least painful and unpleasant!

  12. look, just tell the manager what happened, and maybe he will give you a free happy meal......

  13. My vote goes to Chik-Fil-A also.

I must disagree, the last time I went there the girl waiting on me turned around to get my order of chicken and started coughing on the cooked chicken. I stated "never mind" and got some chicken across the street. Very unsanitary.

  15. Everytime I go there I have to shoo the damn nasty flies away while I am trying to eat. I counted 10 employees in the back for just a few customers and it took for ever to get served. They can't give you good service or keep the place clean.

Heck most fast food places are infested with cock roaches and flies. Is there anything the health department can do about those damn flies. You know that can't be healthy.

  16. you folks aint hurt'n a bit if you can afford to pay $6.50 for less than half a chicken breast at chik-fil....
if i could eat out I'd have'ta go for the $5. foot long!

  17. Every McDonald's sucks. What's your point?

They pretty much "manufacture" every bit of food that they serve. There isn't much natural goodness to it at all.

Worst part is, you're paying $6 for fake food, served by highly unmotivated losers making minimum wage. If they are good workers, they get a better job at a decent pay scale as soon as they can!

BTW - Did you ever notice the "Value Meal" tax at the Delmarva McDonald's? Every time that I have checked, it's been cheaper to order the meal items separately!

You can also play games with the value menu:

    - Order 3 4-piece nuggets, small fries and drink for less than a 10 piece mcnugget meal or get 2 4-piece nuggets for less than a 6 piece

    - Order a double cheesburger, but ask them to "dress it like a big mac." It takes a rocket scientist to figure out how to do this, but if you find them you get a $3 Big Mac, but without sesame seeds and third bun for under $1.

  18. Why do you fools eat any of this garbage? Is it because you don't have the skills to manage your lives and bring healthy and CLEAN food with you, or do you really believe that $7 an hour lazy punks who don't wash their hands actually give a damn?

  19. Bitchin about fast food??? Come on people. Get Real. You really think these joints are going to get the cream of the crop in the help department paying minimum wage? You get what you pay for, plain and simple.

  20. Was the tea dump intentional or accidental?Therein lies the answer

  21. why anyone ever eats fast food still baffles me. and then to complain about the service...hellloooo...if you want good service don't eat food with no nutritional value made by minimum wage sex offenders (hey check the registry)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Come on. What kind of service are you going to get from people who have to use pictures on the register to ring you up? A 3 year odl could do that job.

  23. The McDonalds North is awesome. The fast service and nice employees. Not to mention Chik Fil A...is great too.

  24. Baster Enterprises owns the franchises. They are in Salisbury. Ask for Tom Baxter or Mike Rush.
