Kratovil Adds New Campaign Manager
Staff addition comes on heels of “Red to Blue” Announcement
STEVENSVILLE, MD (June 26, 2008). Frank Kratovil’s Congressional Campaign today
announced the hiring of veteran campaign operative Tim McCann, who will take
over as campaign manager July 1. The hiring comes a week after Kratovil’s
campaign was elevated to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s “Red
to Blue” list, signifying the commitment of party leaders to make Maryland’s
1st District a top priority this year.
“I’m excited to have Tim coming on board. Our volunteer staff has done a great
job so far and I know they’ll continue to excel under his direction,” said
Frank Kratovil. “Tim’s background in competitive Congressional politics will
give us a big boost as our campaign continues to build momentum and draw
national attention.”
Kratovil was added to DCCC’s “Red to Blue” list last week, an indication that
the national party sees the 1st District as one of best opportunities to pick
up a GOP-held seat this election cycle. Inclusion on this list of targeted
races will help Kratovil attract financial and structural support from the
national party.
“I’m excited to be joining the Kratovil team,” said McCann. “This is going to
be one of the most hotly-contested races in the country this fall, and I’m
looking forward to helping Frank win in November. Frank will be the independent
voice in Washington that 1st District voters deserve and expect.
McCann, a 2003 Georgetown University graduate, comes to Kratovil’s campaign
with a background in campaign management and new media strategy. He has worked
on Democratic campaigns at the municipal, congressional, and statewide levels
and spent the 2006 election cycle serving as deputy campaign manager on the
gubernatorial campaign of Texas Democrat Chris Bell. McCann spent the two prior
cycles working for a Washington, DC political consulting firm specializing in
competitive swing-district Congressional races.
new media strategy, does that mean snassy lieing???
ReplyDeleteSome Eastern Shore people better get their head out of their a$$es and understand that "an other side of the bridge " person can represent them or we're going to end up with another liberal in the house. There already is a liberal strangle hold in Annapolis and god help us if the libs get control both houses and the WH. We only have ourselves to blame for allowing the Republicans to spend like drunken sailers and get caught up in the inside the beltway mentality.
ReplyDeleteputting some lipstick on that pig
ReplyDeletevote for andy harris he kept his same direction all along
Kratovil's a straight up guy. Don't knock him 'til you've really heard what he has to say.
ReplyDeleteThe First Congressional District was "gerrymandered" by the Democrats on the state level to make it strongly Republican. They ceded this district to the GOP in order to create more Democratic congressional districts. Good luck, Mr. Kratovil; you will need as many "big guns" as you can get to defeat Andy Hall.
ReplyDeleteKratovil isn't a liberal. He understands fiscal responsibility and putting criminals away.
ReplyDeleteHarris is tied to big money. Since when has big money ever given two craps for us? Maybe ON us, but not for us.
Most of our problems come from big money interests running the government. Maybe someone who understands putting criminals away will put some of them away.
kratovil has some of you brainwashed and drinking the cool aid already. Just check his allegiance to O'Malley and also other socialist thinking....He is NOT best for the shore but best for Critical areas commissions and Montgomery Cty
ReplyDeleteif kratovil had any experience at all it would only be tax n spend, he'll be following in omally's footsteps, you can bank on it. You've NEVER seen a rep. do what omally done! give himself and his best bud's mega raises before he even settled in his office! read the writing on the wall Idiot!
ReplyDeleteKratovil is just another pawn in the game. THe most "moderate" Democrat votes with Nancy Pelosi 80% of the time. Think Frank will be any different? Nah...just another Prince George's county boy who thinks he can pull the wool over the eyes of the backward, redneck Eastern Shore.
