Gas Prices Take All The Fun Out Of Vacations

Would you believe this is only 1/4 of a tank on the Motor Coach? Sam's Club only allows $100.00 at a time, unless you put the hose back and start over again and again and again! Have you also noticed how slow gas pumps are spitting out gasoline? It's almost like they want you to feel like you're getting more for your money. Spit it out and get it over with, is what I say! Have fuel prices driven you to stay closer to home this year?

  2. Weights and measures was last done on that pump 9/06 and says Sam's is required to ensure it is correct at all times? Wow, I would think it might be time to check it again. I thought they are required to do this each year.

  3. Yes, they have Joe, and I even never see my baseball buddy anymore because he lives in Mardela area and the price of gas stops him from coming to games. Looks like attendance at games will surely drop off this season. We really need to move to electric or hydrogen auto's, and very soon!

  4. Exxon does the same thing. My minivan is a 99 Venture, and it takes $112.00 to fill up from E. It kicks off at $100. My husband just put $700.00 worth of fuel in his truck between the dual tanks, and his deisel tank. He has anxiety. He drives from Tyaskin to Easton 5 days a week, and has to fill up every other day. He told me one days work goes towards his fuel a week.

  6. every year my family takes at least one week long vacation, sometimes two. usually we take the pop-up tent to williamsburg or cherrystone. this year due to inflated fuel prices we are not taking a vacation at all. we're staying home and doing things around the house. and by the way, the economic stimulus check went to pay debt.

  8. A couple of weeks ago, I filled up at Sam's Club (the reading was 1/4). The tank is registered at just 18 gallons, but the pump read that it put in almost 20 gallons. We complained and the manager gave us a bit of a refund. How many people do you think this has happened to that don't realize it - many people probably don't know how large their tanks are.
