There was a fatal crash on Jersey Road in Wicomico County. Details to follow.
A 32 year old Delmar man was driving down Jersey Road taking some friends home when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his Ford F-150 Pickup. The driver died immediately and the three passengers were able to climb out of the truck.
Wayne Barall was one of the first to arrive on the scene and checked for a pulse and the driver had no pulse. Sadly, this was a young man and a Father of two or three children. He was also a life long close friend of Wayne's as they went to School together in Delmar. This man worked for the Town of Delmar.
We're sorry for your loss and it should be known, the driver was wearing his seat belt and was actually driving a friend home who had a few drinks. "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished."
I'm told by Wayne he'll have pictures up later tonight HERE.
this scared me, way to close to home. i have found out threw the grape vine what and who are involved. im not qualified to comment any more.
ReplyDeleteHow terribly sad for the family. Apparently he was a good man willing to help others. My condolences to all.
ReplyDeleteSad, when a young person helping others passes but this community is so great to notice, and make comment, and give condolences that makes one feel really good. God Bless.
ReplyDeletePS Today, Father's day we saw 5 accidents three very bad, on route 50 between Stevensville and Salisbury.
joe, i came by there a few days ago and realized they had the irrigation system operating, i also realized that the system has a gun on the end that was gonna shoot on the road there at that turn. carma told me something was bad with that. was the farmers irrigation system on when this accident occured???
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to Wayne and the family. So sad, his kids will forever remember their father died on Father's Day.
ReplyDeleteHow sad for a family to lose a young father on Father's Day of all days. May the Lord watch over his soul.
ReplyDeletePlease, no pictures. That would be a horrendous thing to do the family of the deceased.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayer to the family...
ReplyDeleteSo much for a jacked up pickup with oversize off road tires. They are just dangerous. When will local law enforsement start writing tickets to get these raised trucks in compliance with our motor vehicle laws. A tragedy that could of been avoided.
ReplyDeleteOh, I see. Now it's the Police Department's fault because the owner of the vehicle broke the law by jacking up his truck?
ReplyDeleteCome one now. Maybe your comments should have been more along the lines of, if the driver/owner of this vehicle hadn't illegally jacked up his truck he would still be alive today and he wouldn't have put three other people, (not including his loved ones) through such hell in this accident.
I guess this also proves that seat belts aren't worth a shit too, right? Wrong. This vehicle crushed in on the driver, go here to see the photos. http://www.fithp.net/story.asp?ID=292
The driver instantly broke his neck and died. You tell me if this was caused by a simple "S" Curve?
May he rest in peace.

ReplyDeleteThe photos on Wayne Barralls site do not indicate the tires were oversized or that the suspension had been altered. Before you go spouting off at the lip maybe you should check into things. It's bad enough this young father lost his life and you go rub salt into the family's wounds. What a D**K!
Is not a person riding in an illegally raised pickup with off-road tires more of a hazard to surrounding vehicles then a person driving down the road with his seat belt not clicked? We were real lucky no other vehicle was coming from the other direction when this vehicle lost control. More families could have been mourning.
ReplyDeleteFortunately, Jersey Road is not a heavily traveled road in those parts where the accident happened. Oh, I'm sure some Idiot will argue that but believe me, it's not.
ReplyDeleteThe truck wasn't jacked up, some stupid redneck anto Albero blogger put that comment on here to stir the pot, that's all. Just ignore it and they will go away. Believe me, I've been deleting their comments like there's no tomorrow lately. Talk about a jealous group of little girls in pink!
According to WICO news alcohol and speed were the factor in this accident.
