David Scheibach To Be Sentenced This Morning
This morning at 9:00 AM David Scheibach will be sentenced for killing Carolyn Huston in a drunk driving accident on Rt 50. He is from Chesterfield, Va.
They postponed the sentencing so he could spend Father's Day with his Children. I'm sorry but I don't understand that Carolyn's Mother will never have the opportunity to spend Mother's Day with her Daughter again because of his negligence.
The accident happened on 9-24-2007 in Willards, Maryland. The photo above shows Scheibach's vehicle after the accident where he was still driving around in a field where Officers spotted him and originally arrested him for drunk driving. Moments later they realized this was the driver who hit and killed Carolyn Huston.
GO HERE to see our original article on this accident.
Carolyn's mother will never spend another Mother's Day with her daughter, true. But look at Scheibach's children when you complain about the sentencing coming after Father's Day. He did a terrible thing, but his children didn't. Father's Day was an opportunity for his chilren to spend the day with him. They should not be punished for what he did.

To sad for the families involved!
ReplyDeleteTo Carolyn Huston family, My prayer go to you all! And to David Scheibach family, my thoughts and prayer as well, this is an unfortunate event. Mr.Scheibach,
out of all places, you choose to be in Salisbury, were everyone knows everyone, this lady was a Police Officer for Salisbury University, (Part of the Brotherhood), and you are from Virginia! You don't have a chance, to get off with 18 months, like that kid Michael. You chose the wrong County Buddy! Who is the DA on this case??????
Our justice system is not there to hold pity for the family members of an accused killer. In that case, why not let all accused killers out for holiday retreats? Ridiculous. Comparing this killers children to Carolyn Huston's mother is insane. His children will still be able to go visit with this slimeball...Carolyn's mother will visit a grave.
ReplyDeletePlease post the outcome....I have been praying for the Huston family today. They are friends of mine and I hope justice is served.
ReplyDeleteif you drink and drive and kill my loved ones, your never gonna make it, ill get you, ill hurt you, then your done...
ReplyDeleteThough he did a terrible thing, David Scheibach is a good man. He is extreamly tortured by this event, he made the worst mistake a person can make, but the key word is "person" we all make mistakes, it just depends on the degree. I am beyong close to this family & love there children more that words can express. This is a horrible situation to be torn in, because I know if roles were reversed I would feel the same as most of you are, but I ask that you please remember that this incident does not define david, and also remember that there are precious children that will one day have the ability to read the words that you are posting about their daddy.
ReplyDeletewhen a person makes a choice to drink and drive, and that action leads to an innocent person losing their life, no mercy here, i feel just like you, im not a monster, he choose fun over responsible thinking and some one lost their life. i feel for his wife and kids, i do. but even that heart-ache cannot make me feel soory for him. he deserves his punishment, may he do it like a man. hopefully hell never make this costly mistake again. i hope only the best for his family, and their trouble i feel. this happens everywhere, everyday. there can be no tolerance.
ReplyDeleteto torn-heart - if you are so close to the family maybe you know why he was in salisbury from approximately 11-2:30 instead of in oc with his brother - where he was suppose to be. could he have been with another woman?
ReplyDeleteanonymous 5:02, I do not what took place during that fateful time period, as I am not completely sure that David knows either, but Unless you are a person that he was with or know a person he was with, I would appreciate you not insinuating such a thing. This man's wife and children already have a lot to deal with, and that is simply salt into their already open wounds.
ReplyDeletetorn-heart - didn't mean to offend you. you say that this doesn't define david - just trying to "define" him. i think where he was and what he was doing says alot about what kind of man he is (husband and father)
ReplyDeleteanonymous 8:02, My question to you is Where was he, and what was he doing? You seem to know the answer......
ReplyDeleteI don't know where he was. That's why I am asking you. I just don't understand why it is such a big secret unless he has something to hide. I want to think that he is a stand-up guy who made a mistake but where he was and what he was doing ia a big factor in the type of guy he was. You are obviously very defensive of him so you must know that he was up to no good. I'm done with this conversion...I think you responses tell it all. He has more problems than drinking and driving.
ReplyDeletemy responses do not tell it all. As I do not know where he was, and I do not think that he was "up to no good" as you say. I just simply feel that unless you know something, it is rude to insinuate that there was somthing else.
ReplyDeleteWhat have we learned from this tragic situation?
ReplyDelete1. 1 Mother and Sister lost a loved one.
2. 1 Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Wife and 4 young children lose someone emotionally for 10 years and the rest of their life because of this tragedy.
3. People make acqusisation and UN founded statements without checking the facts. Maybe he was at a fund raising event for the weekend for the local hospital. But that does not matter because people like to make up what happened and Mr. Scheibach is not a good man or a caring individual or part of his own community according to the friends and family and the D.A of the other side {If you did not have Calais Judge you’re D.A. would have lost in any other court room}. You all should do your homework if you really want to know the truth, the facts can be found, but that’s OK I know that as much as you care about Carolyn Huston family it’s not for all of you to give a fair and unbiased opinion.
4. Can we all learn from this, I don’t know. On the one hand we have lost both individuals in this tragic situation one physically, and one who will aimlessly, emotionally lose himself and maybe his family for the rest of his life to not be the Father, Son, Friend or community leader to teach and share with others that one bad choice in life will change your life. Oh you all might believe that the State of Maryland incarceration will help with his life like it has with so many other harden criminals, but I ask all of you as you say an eye for an eye, well it looks like we have taken many more eyes out of this that will suffer and you are probably happy about that. But remember this at the end of the day revenge only leads to unfaithful and unfulfilling people.
5. In the shadow of this day I pray for all individuals involved, and the future of Mr.Scheibach’s young children.
Go to hell anonymous!!!!!! David is not a slimeball. Meet the man before passing judgement and making such horrible statements! Look in the mirror!

I knew Carolyn extremely well. I don't think that she would like or want all this bickering but I do think that she would want justice. I think that her family just wants David and the entire Scheibach family to show some remorse. They heard that after the sentencing either David's wife or sister said "I don't give a f*** about that family." It's this type of behavior and the behavior of the condescending asshole of a lawyer that they hired.

ReplyDeleteI think that it's this type of behavior that is upsetting to the Huston family and us (their friends) Other than David's mother, I don't think that they feel any of the "I'm sorry's" were sincere and for the right reasons. The Scheibach family and/or their friends say that he was in town for a fundraiser but he wasn't at the fundraiser at 11:00pm to 2:30/3:00am. I don't think that the Huston family thinks he's a slimeball but I think they would have more respect for him if he stood up like a man and admitted to his problems and what he did instead of everyone making excuses for him. David's wife's statement proves that she knew he drank to the point of being drunk (she admitted to being his designated driver). It shouldn't have required the death of another human being before the family address his issues. Hopefully, now he will get the help he needs. This will be beneficial to his children when he gets out.
oh please. who are they trying to fool. he was in town partying during Sunfest at Seacrets and pick-up up a woman and followed her to her place in Salisbury! Maybe a fundraiser brought he to the Shore but lets not pretend that he's some poor innocent victim of circumstances - Carolyn was!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know where his brother was while he was in Salisbury? Why didn't he stop David from driving? Seems like he should be just as responsible.
ReplyDeleteI have known David for 25 years. i do not know his children, but I can tell you that as wonderful as I thought he was, he was ALWAYS troubled. He bucked the system, drank too much, avoided controvery, cheated on his girlfriend.....I do not know why I feel compelled to share this outisde of how sorry I feel for this innocent women who lost her life at the hands of an irresponsible and reckless indivdual. He had a family that he was committed to, why was he so out of control. Knowing him in highshool and college, what happened was shocking, but no surprise. I believe that the people that defend him, truly believe in him. This was his nature, not his demons. I pray this poor woman did not suffer in the accident and that some how the four children and wife left behind can make sense of such a terrible desertion.
ReplyDeleteThis was a horrable event. I have known Dave for several years and he was always the first one to laugh, make fun of, or just say what a dumb ass to someone if they do something wrong. Well it seems the shoes on the other foot now. It bothers me deeply knowing Daves drinking cost a person there life. It was bad enough he had a family of I believe of 4 kids now and still couldnt grow up. I have personaly listen to him brag about him cheating on his wife and being with other women on so called business trips. He thought he was a player and played himself right into jail. Patty if your reading this you dont know the half of what he did. Now he has to go drink it up and kill someone...May GOD have mercy on his soul. May GOD Bless you Patty and your family. You looked the other way one time too many.
ReplyDeleteI know dave personally. He used to make fun of ever of everyone elses bad fortune. What comes around goes around. And about him and his person life, he has cheated on his wife numerous times and would brsg about it to certain people. Especially the time we went to the bahamas on business. Of course the people he went with wouldn't say anything he employed them. He was half owner of a business called elite fitness on chesterfield va and him and his fake acting christian partner would sell you s bridge if it would make them money. It's a shame what happened to thst lady but dave is more worried about himself. A true egotistical jerk. And his wife isn't much smarter for believing his lies. If sure being locked up he's changed just like everyone in jail does. To bad he didn't do it before he decided to get drunck like some 21 year old kill someone thsn try to get away. Davids parents are rich that's te only reason he was walking on the street before hos trial. What a arrogant jerk and Patty his wife is to blind to see everything dave has done to her. I know of 3 girls he hss chested on her with. Nice guy huh.....
ReplyDeletedave is a real jerk...so is his buddys that back him bill pugh.....5 stores in 5 years huh? Elite will be lucky is therre here next year. They already closed 2 stores. And they had the nerve to tell everyone they would have 5 stores in 5 years that's what dave scheiback and his partner biill pugh said...u have no idea how many people they ripped off just to pay there bills.snakes in the grass.
ReplyDeleteWell Well Well. I am sure this man did not serve a full 10 years for murdering someone. A car is a weapon if it is not used properly. From what I read this man was an alcoholic, cheater, self entitled loser. I know his mommy and daddy have money and I am sure they spent a fortune getting him the best lawyers and deal makers, just like the money they probably fronted for his now defunct "gym equipment" . That was laughable. Yes, we all make mistakes but when someone loses their life because of another persons total disregard for the law, 10 years is not enough.Did the all knowing, all enabling, and all so pathetic wife stay with him or did she dump his sorry butt? I wonder what his life is like now? Are people still bailing him out or did he grow a set and man-up. His children will be forever scarred by that tradgedy. I really don't think his kids will grow up being proud of their father.Well, a convicted felon he is and will forever be. No real job for him , unless someone else bails him out yet again. What a waste. Oh and he really should have gotten more than ten years . He probably was out in 4. My heart goes out to that other family . Supposedly he was cheating on his wife. His resume might read : murderer, cheater, drunk, scammer. NICE!
ReplyDeleteCan Carolyn's family sue him now that he is out of jail?
