Moments ago UPS was in the GOB delivering packages when all of a sudden there was a 911 call and the Salisbury Fire Department swarmed the building. It turns out the UPS Driver was stuck in the elevator and they had to rescue him from within the shaft.
Heroically, the Driver refused to be rescued without them taking the package he was delivering out of the elevator FIRST! Both package and Driver are safe and sound and the elevator company has been called in to do immediate repairs.
Now I understand why their uniforms are BROWN! Would have scared the sh!t out of me too.
A transformer blew downtown and the whole block is out.
ReplyDeleteyou mean to tell me this building doesnt have generator back-up, or does it simply do the lights and emergency door signs?
ReplyDeleteI guess he will have a good excuse as to why his gps was at that location for soo long.
ReplyDeletePoor Chris,(UPS Man) if anyone was listening to their scanner, once they got him out, he refused to be checked out by EMS until his packages were delivered in the building! He is the most efficient UPS man! We love him dearly and I'm not sure about everybody on his route, but after the first day of delivering to us, he remembered each of our names and still does. He is very polite and is always happy! UPS should be very glad that they have an employee like that!!
