The facts as they are presented. You can click on these images to enlarge them. Nonetheless, this is clearly a mess. It's one thing for Joe Albero to get on here and express my opinion. It's another when the facts are delivered for YOU to decipher. I'm interested in your response to these documents. I'm also interested in how you feel about the lack of presence from the Daily Times any more? They're not at meetings, events, could the end be near?
A Mess is putting it mildly. Just hope that Debbie and Terry can decipher this and see through the Mayor's shenanigans. Regarding the DT, it is strange that they do not attend the meetings. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteBarrie's proposed budget burns over 5 Million of surplus to balance, including 4.1 Million in the Sewer and Water fund budget. That would bring it down, and without any rate increase it would be exhausted in a couple years. Caldwell knows what he's doing and how the budget should be done, but Barrie is trying to avoid being the one who proposed any increase by getting the Council to do that. Then, when she runs for reelection next year it will be "their responsibility" and especially Debbie Campbell if she votes for it and runs for reelection at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThe Daily Times isn't saying anything about the situation -- but count on it if the Council votes to raise taxes or sewer/water rates.
Ms. Cathcart and her husband were happy about Barrie's tax rate increase last year so I guess they will be overjoyed this time around.
ReplyDeletePrediction:
ReplyDeleteA year from now Bubba Comegys will be R NECKS MARE!
The new girl had a good article about the north sewage pump station but we know that most times they do in the beginning. Then they are censored and decide to move on to greener pastures.
ReplyDeleteI have heard crabs are selling for $200 a bushel, that was a couple of weekago. I would expect more people to drop their subscriptions because they won't even need the paper for crabs.
Ms. Dorine Turner is one sharp cookie.
ReplyDeleteFAMOUS LAST WORDS:
ReplyDeleteNixon: "I am not a crook"
Clinton, Wm.: "I did,'t touch her"
Barrie: "I'm responsible, but it's their fault"
8:49 AM - If your prediction is correct and Comegys is our next Mare, it will only be more of the same of what we're getting right now and then shoved down our throats just a little bit further. Now that's a nightmare!!
ReplyDeleteThat's why that money kept getting moved around, she knew she would need it this year, from years of neglect.
ReplyDeleteThe years of neglect are catching up to this administration for sure!
ReplyDeleteBest the council votes on beginning work on the water and sewer right away, since it won't be long before we are forced into making massive repairs to our aging systems. We also better begin being very careful how we use our presious resource, water. A day will be coming when our aquafer starts drying up too, like the Manochan aquafer has done. I predicted this problem in a speach to a Rotary Club in NC about 40 years ago and was guffawed for it. Wonder whose laughing now?
It doesn't matter how Debbie and Terry vote, the vote will be 3 to 2unless lightning strikes Bubba in the ass then Louise won't know how to vote. She never votes before Bubba.
ReplyDeleteIt's not Dorine Turner, It's Queen LA Salilsury. She runs the show for all. She makes the decisions for all departments and is never questioned. The rest of the officials are just figure heads.
ReplyDeleteThe paper doesn't have to be there they print all the mayor's exclusive BS right from the horses mouth
