One Year Ago Today

This photo is a clear reminder of what's about to come in the Salisbury Fire Department. The promotion of Mr. Hoppes is said to be one in which many believe will be the next Fire Chief in the City of Salisbury.

  1. It should have been Tim Keenan.
Not taking anything away from Rick, (who will at least give you a straight up answer when asked). Tim was over looked BIG TIME.

  5. Tim Keenan was a great leader and loved by the men. He left because of the shananagans that go on everyday. The politicians and the three musketeers are in bed together and anything goes. Your not going to stop it and the Mayor will hear of no wrong doing. Everything is great at HER fire department. NOT !

  8. No he does not give you a straight answer. I had heard when Merritt was at the hospital he came in and told Insley and Merritt that truck 16 was done. And the Chief was going to the Mayor the truck was out of service. That is strange the truck is still there and Merritt has not came back. Makes you wonder can't put a new truck into old station 16 would defeat the purpose of the new firehouse. So much for a straight shooter, he plays with smoke and mirrors and when he was on the florr he used a office chair to roll around and check the engines. Can you say LAZY!!!!!!!!

This is true, I worked on the shift with this lazy person and the Assistant Chief would look at this lazy guy rolling around on the chair checking the equipment and just shake his head. That guy has always been fat and lazy. He knows how to kiss the right butts and baffle them with bullsh!t using his big words. Making him the fire chief would be the worse thing in a long time.
