One Of Your Developer Reimbursements

Here's a million dollar plus lift station the developer was reimbursed for that is well past due and when the Mayor, Dunn, Comegys & Cathcart sold the taxpayers on it, there was supposed to be several developments expected to use it and only one, (the one who received the reimbursement will take advantage of it. Your tax dollars still hard at work. How's that re-election plan working for you Mayor Tilghman? I can't wait to see the comments on this one!

  1. I'll bet you with all this recent rain, the city has dumped MORE sewage into the river!! Probably won't hear about it though.

  6. How can this cost a million dollars?

  7. Yes, it's Marley. And Wilber negotiated for City on Marcor contract, while his firm had represented Marcor. But, no matter, business as usual in this City under Barrie. Wasn't Wilber supposed to explain that?

  8. It cost a million, it would appear, because of all the rework having to be done. Looks like the recent rains ran off into this pit big time. Note the cracked earth or is that concrete? Looks like a lift station from hell to me! We just can't get such work right, can we mayor?

  10. How could this be an unfinished lift station at Marley Manor when people have been living there for a couple years now?

  11. I thought that lift station was nixed, anybody know?

  12. Not sure, but my recall is Marley Manor was being built in stages and this lift station was being built to support stage 3 maybe? And other developments were supposed to hook in and reimburse the city for reimbursing the developer. But there aren't any other developments.

Anybody know if I have that right?

So Marley is Rinnier? Oh, yeah, that's right. Saw that on the billboards. Wasn't a Rinnier involved with Mike Dunn's campaign? Anybody know? If so, is there a relation?

  13. Ms. Rinnier was a campaign worker (manager-?) for Dunn as I recall.

Yes, Marlene Rinnier (Blair Rinnier's mother, Bill Rinnier's wife) helped get Mike Dunn elected to the City Council, and Gail Bartkovich (Blair Rinnier's mother-in-law) is on the County Council. Do we wonder why developers receive special favors/exemptions?

  15. And no one from Holly Center has fallen into that pit?
    Yet?

  16. Mrs. Bartkovich also sits on Planning and Zoning Board, a position of incredible power, just like sitting on an appeals board,. Problem is that there seem to be no qualifications needed for P&Z (such as basic laws and urban planning concepts) If Mr. Wilbur says it is okay then no one questions it.
