I know. What's up with that? You can't see 100 yards in Parsonsburg. The Wico. Co. Schools must be testing.
ReplyDeleteNO they are not testing. They repeatedly put our children and their drivers at risk. I do believe we need new people making decisions at the board of education
ReplyDeleteFrustrated
I live in Fruitland, and it's the worst fog in a long time. Who makes these decisions, and how do we get rid of them?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think Delmar is two hours late.
This decision was made by Mr. Bounds, the assistant supterintendent who got the 10%retirement bonus but is not retiring.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, what do the parents that have both elementary and high school children in Delmar do? Are the buses going to run twice? What the hell is going on? Typical bunch of idiots running Wicomico County!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you people want? You bitch when there are delays and you bitch when there aren't delays!Make up your freakin mind already!
ReplyDeleteMD school bus drivers had to get students to the Shorebirds game this morning.
ReplyDeleteIn Delmar, the buses ran twice.
Field of Dreams Day II - enjoy a mid-morning game with the 'birds and thousands of students from across the Shore as they apply what they've learned in the classroom to the game of baseball!
ReplyDeleteAnyone who has ever had an elementary-age student in WICO Co schools knows this is an event!

ReplyDeleteWhen the fog is thick, we want delays so kids standing at bus stops and kids on buses won't get killed. Grand dad said Parsonsburg was very foggy, Fruitland was, Delmar was . . . is that supposed to go unnoticed?

ReplyDeleteGlad Wicomico BOE didn't let dangerously thick fog delay a trip to a Shorebirds game. Good to know priorities are sane.
My husband and I are Wicomico County Bus contracters and we are just as frustrated as the parents were this morning. My husband and I were awaiting the phone call saying there was going to be a fog delay but it never rang! ABSOLUTLEY RIDICULOUS! We could not even see the road from our front door which is only about 60 feet. The baord needs to get their priorities straight!!! With fuel prices the way they are most of us aren't even breaking even yet they don't hesitate to send the buses out when the driver can't even see in front of them!

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how it feels to know you are expected to drive children under conditions you consider totally unsafe. Why do you think there was no delay? Can you tell Mrs. Holloway your concerns?
I was shocked to see that there was no delay in Worcester County. You couldn't see 40ft in Ocean Pines, so I'm sure conditions were much worse elsewhere in the county.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter goes to Showell, and my son goes to BIS, and as you would have guessed...there was TESTING today.
Shame!
