Salisbury Police Press Releases

On April 9, 2008 at approximately 6:08 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Caribbean Cuisine restaurant on E. Carroll St. for the report of a theft. Upon arrival, the officers were advised by store employees that just prior, two (2) suspects entered the restaurant and approached the counter. The suspects then opened the cash register and removed an amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing from the restaurant on foot. There were no injuries.

On the same date, at approximately 6:26 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Seoul Korean Restaurant on S. Salisbury Boulevard for the same type of theft. Upon arrival, the officers were advised that two (2) suspects had entered the restaurant and had approached the counter. The suspects requested change and when the cash register was opened, took an amount of U.S. Currency from the cash register before fleeing on foot from the area. There were no injuries.

On the same date, at approximately 7:48 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police responded to the Shogun Restaurant, on Easter Shore Drive for the report of a similar theft. Upon arrival, the officers were advised that two (2) suspects had entered the restaurant and had made a request for change. When the cash register was opened, one of the suspects reached over the counter and took an amount of U.S. Currency from the cash register. There were no injuries.

The two (2) suspects are described as follows:

1. Black male, light complexion, 20-25 years of age, light facial hair, 6’0” to 6’2” tall, wearing a red hooded jacket and dark blue jeans.

2. Black male, dark complexion, 6’5” tall, 20-25 years of age, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a white stripe, and blue jeans.

On April 9, 2008 at approximately 9:00 am, Detectives from the Salisbury Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence on Executive Club Drive in Delmar, MD. As a result of the warrant, the below listed subjects were arrested following the investigation of identity theft and the use of false information to obtain credit cards. Once received, the credit cards were then used to make fraudulent purchases. The Salisbury Police Department received assistance from the Delmar Police Department in the execution of the warrant.

ARRESTED #1:
Kizzy Michelle Holbrook, 27 years of age Delmar, Maryland

ARRESTED #2:
James Brown, 37 years of age Delmar, Maryland

CHARGES: Each suspect was charged with thirty-one (31) counts of credit card offenses, theft, and conspiracy to commit theft.

DISPOSITION: Both released to Central Booking CC # 20080006871

On April 10, 2008 at approximately 1:16 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Downtown Plaza in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers found a 2000 Hyundai passenger vehicle overturned and resting on its roof. The officer made contact with the operator, listed below, who emanated an odor of an alcoholic beverage from his person. The suspect failed field sobriety tests and was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. There were no injuries.

CHARGES: Driving under the influence of alcohol Driving while impaired Motor vehicle charges related to the accident

DISPOSITION: Released upon signature for citations CC # 200800012426

On April 11, 2008 at approximately 5:53 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the one hundred block of W. Isabella Street for a possible burglary in progress.

As the officers responded, they were given a description of the suspect as reported by a witness. Upon arrival, the officers located the suspect, listed below, who was apprehended after a foot chase and positively identified as the suspect seen attempting to make entry into a residence on through a window.

ARRESTED:
Brendon Lee Fields, 19 years of age Fruitland, Maryland

CHARGES: Attempted Burglary Malicious Destruction of Property

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800012590

On April 11, 2008 at approximately 3:46 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department Vice/Narcotics Unit arrested the below listed suspects following the execution of a search and seizure warrant at a residence on the four hundred (400) block of Lake St. Upon executing the search and seizure warrant, the officers located suspected crack/cocaine and CDS paraphernalia within the residence.

ARRESTED #1: John Edward Collier, Jr., 52 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute
Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia

ARRESTED #2: Jennifer Ann Charbonneau, 27 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Possession of cocaine

DISPOSITION: Both suspects released to central booking CC # 200800006792

On April 12, 2008 at approximately 12:10 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Monkey Barrel on South Salisbury Boulevard for the report of disorderly subjects. Upon arrival, the officers met with employees of the business who advised that the below listed suspects had been removed from the business for disorderly conduct and were continuing to cause problems. The officers met with suspect # 1, who refused to calm and leave the area. As the officers were meeting with suspect # 1, suspect # 2 also became more disorderly and refused to comply with the officers.

ARRESTED #1: Billy Joe Tatum, 28 years of age Refused address

Disorderly conduct
Second degree assault
Resisting arrest

ARRESTED #2: Ben Christopher Tatum, 24 years of age Parsonsburg, Maryland

CHARGES:
Disorderly conduct
Resisting arrest
Second degree assault
Failing to obey a lawful order
