Breaking News!

There is a rumor on the street Wicomico County Schools are in lock down over a shooting. I was just told there was an alleged shooting in Hebron. More to come.....

Apparently it happened ACROSS the street from the west side intermediate school and there is a confirmed fatality. Allegedly it was some kind of domestic dispute. They were searching for a 19 year old male in a burgundy trail blazer. Its been reported now that he has been caught in Sharptown. More to come...

UPDATE! THE SUSPECT HAS NOT BEEN CAUGHT AND IS STILL ON THE LOOSE. HE IS ARMED AND DANGEROUS. PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THIS VEHICLE. IT IS A BURGUNDY CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER. MORE TO COME.....

I am on the scene where Major Greg Shipley is on his way from the Maryland State Police. I had heard the victim died allegedly from a single gun shot to the head.

UPDATE: I'm told he is now 18 years old, light skin black male. The lock down at the School has been lifted.

OK, it's now 1:30 PM and we just did an interview with the State Police. At 10:15 911 received an emergency call to 104 Old RR Road. Upon arrival they found one male deceased from a single gun shot wound.

The suspect is not believed to be in the area any longer so they took the School out of lock down after they did a thorough search. The suspect again is still on the loose and the vehicle description is still the same.

I was told the victim lived at the home on and off and they still have not positively identified him. It's a waiting game from here on out.

LIVE from Rail Road Ave. in Hebron.

NEWS UPDATE: The suspects name in Brandon Curtis, 18 YOA.

  8. This would make 2 murders in less than two years in quiet little Hebron. Last one was on Porter Mill RD I believe. Please pray for the family members left to pick up the pieces of this terrible incident. May God be with you all.

  11. Joe,

Different subject, and my apologies for bring it up here.

Today's "Daily Times" has a real BS piece about how proud we should be about what they did in Annapolis this session, but conveniently did not mention the big news from the session: An unprecedented tax increase of 1.5 billion on the backs of Marylanders.

Ironically, it did mention the repeal of the computer tax. The computer tax was but a very small part of this massive tax increase.

Please, please start a tread on this.

  13. Westside was the only school on lockdown, as the murder happened across the street from the school.

    Drug deal gone wrong...

  14. Yet another example of teenage violence. The news today is full of stories about teenagers doing harm to others. No empathy, no remorse, and sadly given the state of our courts, probably no punishment.

  15. Better get more state police. Those WCSD wimps could find their ass with both hands unless it was parked at Ihop.

  16. I told my boss after that home invasion not long ago, but the people claimed nothing was taken. Well you don't tell the police hey they stole my drugs. I told the boss, "you watch there will be a murder in two weeks or less."

I just wonder if there is a connection?

  17. Joe,
I live on East Lillian Street in Hebron. I heard the police cars pass my front door around 1000. I left my house around 1125 to go to work. A coworker told me Old Rail Road was closed south of Church Street around 1132 (access was still blocked at 1605). As I went east on Lillian Street around 1145 there was a tan GM sedan with a dent on it's left door sitting on the edge of the intersection of East Lillian Street and Chest Nut Tree Road. There was one sheriffs car and another police car next to the sedan. I have no idea if the incidents are related.

  18. I don't beleive this had to do with a drug deal, the victim was the teens step dad. The victim, probably was beating on the Teens Mom, and he had enough. We don't know, so lets stop making our own stories.
