All students should attend public school and not segregate themselves from others who have different life styles, religions or none, and learn to survive in the arena while you are young. You'll never make it out on the street if you wait until you are in high school. The leadership is in place ,gang members established, and the new new student is a sitting duck for the fall guy who gets dumped on. Teachers can't protect you like they could in the old days. Todays kids are clever, cruel and enjoy inflicting pain on other group members.
ReplyDeleteWith your statement, it is all the more reason we need to have our children in an enviroment in which the academics are the focus and not the social ways of public school. It is so easy to blame the kids, but let's start at the root of the problem, the parents. If the parents instill self respect, self worth, disipline and integrity in their child, as well as the importance of a hug, the significance of a kiss and the joy of being loved, children would not seek these from gangs.
