The Wayne Gilchrest Staff Won't Go To Work
The Wayne Gilchrest Office remains closed since the election. There hasn't been a day since the election I have actually seen this Office open for business. The pouting "don't let the door hit you in the a$$" Congressman doesn't seem to care much either.
Oh, you want proof? Has he been hack to the WWTP in Hebron? Did he come inspect the "spill" at the Salisbury WWTP? Has he been to the Wicomico County Landfill for ANYTHING? Nope, Nope, Nope!
Wayne Gilchrest may be a nice guy to some but IMO, this guy is a pouting little baby who refuses to act like a man. Suck it up and get your work done by representing the people. We'd be better off if they simply fired the guy and didn't give him time to waste space like they are at One Plaza East.
Greg Bassett's Wife must be at home cooking and cleaning and making him samiches, at taxpayers expense to boot. Oh well, we should be used to stuff like this in Wicomico County. It's business as usual and you're watching your tax dollars hard at work, NOT!
Isn't he still holding "office". Dosent he STILL have a duty to serve his constituents? I find it appalling that because he wasnt re-elected, that he will just say screw'em. There are still issues to be dealt with that he should be dealing with. If not, he shouldn't be drawing a paycheck. Who monitors his time card?
ReplyDeleteThe same person that monitors Gary Comegys "timecard" apparently.
ReplyDeleteMore PROOF he needed to go. Just think, if he stayed another term, his pension would have risen!
ReplyDeleteYou'd think he'd wanna go out with a bang, maybe tackle holding onto that Bay Fund money and get them to use it on all the wwtp's and landfills spewing into tributaries. One would think he'd rather go out like a hero, not a jealous child. I quess when the chips are down you can usually see what people are woth at face value.
ReplyDeleteJoe, Joe, Joe.
ReplyDeleteDo not criticize them, that being the Gilcrest clan, for not being in the office.
"For when they are not in the office they can do no harm" Oh! and by the way never, never use the word work to describe what ever it is they are suppose to do.
Cathy Bassett runs this Office.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is it with people in elected positions and those people paid with taxpayers money, that think they can just do what ever they please or worse yet....nothing at all!
ReplyDeleteI dont know about you all, but I've about had my fill lately, these sqaunderers need to be made an example out of. They need to be showed were tired of this wastefullness.
Joe,
ReplyDeleteThe issues that you mention (Salisbury WWTP, County Landfill, etc) are not Federal issues and should not be responded to by a Congressman. Frankly, this is why the Federal government is in the mess that it is today. These issues are Local issues - City, County, State issues and need to be handled by the appropriate authorities and agencies.
There's no clause in the Constitution that permits any member of the Federal Government to get involved in these types of issues. For once in his tenure, Congressman Gilchrest is acting like a conservative!
Jean Galbreath
Jean, you could be 100% correct. However, I'm not saying you're wrong but I have to wonder if the Chesapeake Bay and it's condition funded federally towards its clean up?
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I brought it up because Wayne dove after the Press on the Hebron situation, so again I kindly challenge you on your comment. It was OK for him to get involved in Hebron but not Saliabury and or Wicomico County?
