It's Time To Bring Out Some Truth!

While information was coming in last week about a gentleman named Mathew Scott Lawson allegedly making terroristic threats to SU, it was a complete crock of sh!t and Wicomico County is actually in some pretty deep trouble about the incident.

Warden Devanin sent in a psychiatrist to evaluate an Lawson who allegedly stated he was delusional and paranoid. Lawson was sent over to the Dover Psychiatric Ward for several days and was found to be perfectly normal!

Mr. Lawson was placed on leave with pay but has yet to return to his position. There were NO WEAPONS found at his home and even while Lawson offered up his computer for them to review, NOTHING was found in it as well and they have yet to return his property.

What happened was, Lawson was chatting with a co-worker, Officer Kressin when they were talking about gun control. Lawson said the laws were all screwed up and they started talking about other Universities and the shootings that had happened there. Lawson then mentioned in light of everything that has happened elsewhere how easy it would probably be to do the same thing at SU.

It turns out Lawson and Kressin had been very close friends up until recently and they had a falling out but still worked together. Kressin was the Officer that allegedly wrote up a report on Lawson referencing this matter and the next thing everyone knew it was blown way out of proportion.

I'm told Antinelli will be representing Lawson in a suit against the County and you know what, I can't say as I blame him. Someone took a regular guy and turned him into a mad man in everyone else's minds and scared the living crap out of the SU Students.

Was Officer Kressin doing what was in the best interest of the Students? Time will tell and I'm sure a Judge will have his ears filled with all sorts of "others sides" to this story.

  1. THATS THE HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD FOR YOU. HAS TO LEAVE THE STATE TO EVALUATE A PRISON CONVICT WHEN THEY HAVE QUALITY STAFF THERE. WHAT A WASTE OF TAX PAYERS MONEY.

  2. Thanks for your follow-up on this Joe. It is sad that a simple e-mail ruined a man's reputation, and put 7200 people on edge. I will be interested to see if the University sends a follow –up email to us ( the students) about it.

  5. Was all this said in an email or in person? I am confused from the post at 1141. The story says chatting, so does that mean chatting on the internet.

  6. The SU students were sent a mass email about how the gentleman in question was a threat to the safety of the SU campus a few weeks back.

  7. Joe,
YES, "It's time to bring out SOME TRUTH!" It's not the first time this has happened, I am so glad that Lawson is going after them, somebody has to do it. WE might be next; we have an appointment and 9 witnesses going over the bridge to meet with some lawyers next month. We just want JUSTICE SERVED. Justice isn't served till the real criminal is behind bars and they know I'm telling the truth, the Medical examiners report tells it all. Is it that we don't trust the Medical Examiners reports?

Joe, this is about there reputation, they don't care about the victim, if they did, they would do the right thing.

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME, what goes around comes around, I was expecting one of them to do they right thing, ha-ha! WHERE'S the justice for the victim and there family if the real criminal is enjoying our streets! TELL THIS COMMUNITY THE TRUTH PLEASE!!!!!

What kind of name do you think you have made for your self's, when 11 of us know the truth and you did what you wanted to do, think about this 11 families, times lets say 80 relatives each plus another 80 friends, adds up don't it? So what do you think is going to happen when Election day comes around for the parties involved.

Joe, so glad we have you in this community.

  8. I think you may be wrong about Kressin writing Lawson up, some inside sources have said that it was actually an officer named Young.

  9. As someone with knowledge of this, lets just say.. Some of the stuff found on his computer when it was examined was... troubling.

He is a very sick person, whether Joe believes it or not. He is right to have been evaluated, and I think the "experts" were wrong when he was shown to have been "normal".

Its laughable. The man is sick.

  10. anonymous 4:59,

Quit being a pussy and post your name! Your statement holds no creibility because there's no name.

  11. I have known Matthew Lawson for the last ten years. He is an excellent Officer and person. A out of context statement has been blown out of poportion. Fear and rumor has nearly ruined the reputation of a fine man. He has not been charged with any crime. He has not been dismissed from his employment. If anyone knows facts different from this let them speak and prove them.

  12. I would like to hear Matt Lawson's all take on all of this. I'm sure I will but all the talking will be from his attorney.

  13. I have known Matt, for a long time, he is a nice considerate person that is great with children.
He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. If you would check the records, you would also find that he worked most all of the holidays, so that officers with family could be home with their children. It's a shame that when a person has been charged with nothing, that their name can be shown on TV as someone to be feared. This not only hurts Matt, but it hurts his family, and has the potential to hurt other officers. If a person can get away with blackballing him, lookout, who will be next?

  14. Matt is a very close friend of mine and he's not stupid! Kressin may be but I have inside sources that it was Ofc. Young (who brownnosed his way into a postion in which he self distructed. He screwed his own self) and a schmuck named Ofc. Jarvis (who can't keep his "thang" in his pants!) I'm gonna tell you this, if Matt doesn't sue the crap out of you, which he's going to do, I'm going to personally put my boot up your flat a**es!!!!

  15. Kristin:

It was not CO Young who did anything. CO Young is a very close friend to Matt and if you were oh so close to Matt you would know that as well. Matt would have told you. I don't know much of Jarvis' case but no one really wants any part of this. So why don't you try to dig up something else to screw up someone else's life or get better information. Everyone can thank Office Kressin for all of this. And Matt knows this, so ask him. And CO Young didn't brown nose his way into anywhere. It was offered to him. And because of all of this going down, is why he got put back on the block. So get your story straight and come back when you think you know something.

I agree that Matt is the victim here. But ask Matt, no one wants to be drug into this whole thing.

  17. I do talk to Matt, on a daily basis even... And honestly he's really p-oed with those that have been mentioned. Especially Young. And if I'm wrong, I am big enough to admit it, but those who Matt isn't miffed at, me and 4 others that I am close to, just feel otherwise.

  18. Kristin:

Obviously you don't know the truth to anything, because if you did talk to Matt on a daily basis then you would know every detail of everything that is going on. So Sharp, I suggest that you clear up what you think you know before you start accusing someone who is just as innocent as Matt...

  19. all I have to say is, whatever. We believe what we believe and so do you. End of story.

  20. I agree in the end, everything will come out.

  21. It's amazing! Everything with this has blown over now with the new information of female officers having accusations of sexual encounters with the inmates at WCDC. No more female officers allowed to work in RSAT. One girl who was accused quit on her day off... huh... sounds like she's guilty to me how about everyone else?

  22. Ohhh..look who's getting sued. Next time keep your "opinions" to yourself.
