WCDC Is Up To No Good Again

The rumor is that one of the WCDC captains has applied to Rick Polluck (sp?) with the intention of complaining about that advertisment in the Daily Times for Security Chief position. It seems that His Royal Highness, 3D, ignored a certain policy that he, himself, had written to his specifications, in which far higher qualifications were listed. This policy was, until very recently, one of the few to have received 3D's signature, which means it was released and incorporated into Jail Policy way back in '01 or '02. I have also heard that Major Elliot wants to accompany the captain to this meeting and put his 2 cents worth in. As you can see, emotions are running extremely high at the jail because of that ad. Now, I've glimpsed that particular policy (don't ask how) and I know that, not only are its requirements higher, but it also restricts those who can apply for the job to captains and higher. I'm left wondering just why 3D wants all of these requirements tossed aside? Does he have someone already chosen for the position who cannot meet these higher requirements? Or is he expressing his low oppinion of those who work for him?

  1. Joe, I said before its his house. As Head of Household he does what he wants. His policy was greatly different from what was advertised in the paper. His employees were snubed by the requirements in the paper will never let this position be fill except by the person he supports.I think the County Executive needs to intercede here now. There are a lotta personnel problems there simmering in the pot and the Head of Household will not address them.

  2. I have said it once and I will say it again. Doug Devenyns is a deadbeat reject from St. Mary's County and they will tell you quick that they were glad to get rid of former HR Director Ed Cox and Doug D. They were given excellent recommendations from their previous employers, old trick. Now who is laughing.

The previous councils were aware of this crook and did everything they could to protect him and now the current council and county exec. is doing the same. Band together and get rid of the current elected officials in the county.

I remember Mrs. Prettyman stating numerous times she believes in term limits and said two terms is enough. How many terms has she served?

  3. You know it's sad that so many people feel this way! I mean really doesn't anyone at all from the local gov. read these? Don't they actually see what is going on or are they behind the scum balls that run W.C.D.C!? I personally know how it is to work there. I use too. Sadly I was terminated, on what grounds I have no clue. After being there for over 1 yr and a half and after having a very high evaluation that the Lt. told my Sgt. to lower me in because I had no room for improvement because my eval. was so high. I was fired after being put on stress leave with any kind of counsiling. I mean come on there is precedures that should be followed. Right? I could have followed with a law suit but decided not too, just to get my job back and be set up or something. There are more pieces of crap in there trying to run that jail then there are inmates in it. Come on one officer from the sheriffs department was basically made to leave but then was hired at W.C.D.C! What's up with that? The county really needs to wake up and really look at what's going on! WAKE UP WICOMICO COUNTY!

  4. Anon 12:16, "head of house" just doesn't quite come up to what 3D aspires to. Evidence points to his desire to be a god, much feared and never questioned.

Anon 3:36, you've mentioned St. Mary's Co. before and how pleased they were to get rid of him. Have you, perhaps, heard the many rumors of his womanizing there? That seems to be a big and steady trend for him, perhaps "habit" is a better word.

You have an excellent point pertaining to the Co. Council. If they shy away from this blog, then perhaps someone should make a point of sending all these opinions to them, along with someone who can point out just how many people are making the statements, and how bad the council looks. Sometimes people have to be smacked in the face with the obvious to actually see it.

  5. We would like to wish this sgt. luck when he meets with the county executive. Someone clearly needs to do something, and if this one meeting brings about the least change, if it even encourages the exec. and council to take a closer look at Devenyns, then we'll have a sgt./hero.
