UPDATE

I am in a rush to get out of here again so I must apologize to everyone waiting for further details on the Ray Lewis Case.

After visiting the Press Conference at the Sheriff's Department, some VERY interesting things have come about. RAY LEWIS IS OUT! As a matter of fact, everyone charged was released on their own recognizance! Talk about a boat load of sh!t!

As you know I'll be back later with lots to say about this, imagine someone going into a Bank and robbing them for $500,000.00. Do THEY get out on their own? This is simply unbelievable!

I'll be back after the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Department Meeting. Don't miss it, if you can make it. It's tonight at 6:00 PM as well as the Wicomico County CIP Meeting at 6:00 PM.

  1. Come on get real, there are a lot of things happening here. Ray is not the king pin, Danny is and there are more above him. If Ray rolls over then he will do no time... Look over your shoulder Danny, they are coming for you next fat boy.... Then Mr. Bill. Laundry money and real estate, Mike Lewis, is the man!

  2. Theft of half a million dollars and released on personal recognizance? Guess it's because he's such an honest, trustworthy citizen.

  3. Are you kidding? Bank robberies typically involve weapons and threats. Are you honestly comparing this alleged crime to a bank robbery?

  4. I do think they at least should have had an outrageous bail amount. They just let them out, who knows how much money they all ever made off all of this shit. Probably enough to disappear for a while? I know if I was them and I had all the money Ray has I would move to a warm locale and change my name and invest in some good plastic surgery. They are going down, the people they are getting their information from are singing like canaries.

  5. Unanswered question -- how could this much stuff go "missing" without some warning before now -- better ask Rick Pollitt at the Cointy Council meeting tonight.

  7. Hey Ray, say hi to Former Deputy 1st Class Charles McMichael. I am sure you all will get to know each other intimately as Butt Buddies!!

  8. Ohhhhh, let's not be so harsh... those are nice thieves, nothing like those bloody, threatening bank robbers. Anyhow an equally nice court commissioner (?) released all three nice suspects on their own personal recognizance. Isn't that sweet?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Damn! I would rather get caught stealing a half mill rather than get caught with a half ounce of weed!!! Seems like getting out with no hassle is just a little to liberal!

  10. Joe, didn't they charge you $50,000 bond for that crap Jim Rapp trumped up against you? Harrassment wasn't it? So what this is telling me is you steal $700,000 of taxpayers dollars in goods and you can sign yourself out of jail but if you harrass someone you have to put the house up for bond. Something is definitely wrong with this picture. In plain english, its the biggest bunch of bullshit I've heard in a long time. What the hell is wrong with these people? Because he is big bucks Ray Lewis he can walk out of jail with no bond whatsoever? Obviously. What a crock of shit. This just absolutely disgusts me. He is as big a flight risk as anyone else is. All he has to do now is go home grab his money and leave town. Talk about dumbassed commissioners. Just who was the commissioner on this case? They need their license pulled.

  12. Wow what a Country we live in where this crap happens on a regular basis. Had that been someone on Church Street, Jersey road...you get my point they would have dropped the hammer on this case before the warrants were even issued. Pathetic, but I guess if OJ got away with murder then this guy can walk away with half of million of stolen merchandise with a smack on the wrist.

  13. The fact that the cost of a 12 month investigation alone should warrant some bail of a significant sum.

Does anyone know the name of the septic company that was caught unloading in a tax ditch down near Whitehaven or Bivalve? I'm really thinking they were from Somerset county though.

They were only charged with $500 theft? 800 gallons of Diesel fuel costs over $2500 alone not counting the tires. It is unbelievable that they got out without posting a bond~! What were the charges?

WBOC reported the total at $200,000, still that's not chump change. If you robbed a store of any amount of money I bet you'd have to post bond.

Gives the impression that's it's not severe to rob taxpayers. Maybe they were let loose in hope's of them leading them to more of the booty!

  14. eHey,

I heard where you can get a really good deal on a piece of commercial property on Forest Grove Rosd! There should be an auction of all of Ray Lewis's assets to payback the county and taxpayers! Then give the rest to charity! ROTFLMAO!

  15. Don't get me wrong...I don't agree with what Lewis did. However I hate the way people are attacking him and being so nasty...people generally don't like successful entrepreneurs and love to see them go down. What he did was horrible but people make mistakes...we don't need to revel in it.

  18. Ray has never been charged with dumping illegally because he doesn't do that! The EPA takes soil samples from his propertys on a regular basis. He spreads grease. Nothing else. He has permits to do that. It is not illegal. I wish people would stop saying that!

    ReplyDelete
  19. As a tax payer, I am furious! These people are thieves - and obvoiusly not a "one time mistake" - this is something that has been going on for some time. They are only sorry now because they were caught. I am sure there is much more to this story!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ray Lewis(Baltimore Ravens) + Ray Lewis (A.S.A.P.)= Criminal!

    ReplyDelete
  21. The total cash value has to be much higher than the value of what was in the warehouses. Makes you wonder how much fuel was used and how much stolen stuff was sold and to whom. This thing is MUCH bigger than 5 guys. How many dump trucks are riding around on stolen tires and what other goodies were taken and sold allready?

    ReplyDelete
  22. anon 9:36
His parents were losing the farm and he bought them out with money he recieved from a settlement. I hardly call that an entrepreneur.
People around here appreciate Mike Lewis and we all want to see him become successful, because we know he will do it to the letter of the law. If you turn down a one way street and turn around as soon as
you realize it that's a mistake. But if you keep going until you are caught that's just stupid and wrong. Good thing we have entrepreneurs like Sheriff Lewis.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If this was his first mistake it would be a different story but this is not his first mistake. He has been at this for over a year. Stealing 200 to 400k diesel fuel, 65 truck tires, how many 55 gallon drums of hydraulic fluid and motor oil? How many cases of anti freeze? Exactly what truck parts were there? Fuel injectors at $1400 a piece? Big truck parts are not cheap, we're not talking about a fleet of Ford F 250's here with tiny navstar diesel engines. We're talking full grown CAT's and Cummins engines. If he is running CAT's well the price of parts for those is up there with MACK truck parts. None are cheap. Even the damned lug nuts on the rims aren't cheap.

Then we have him dumping raw sewage to avoid paying what every other septic pumping company has to pay. Then there is transporting stolen goods across state lines into Delaware. Transporting untaxed fuel across state lines.

Which one mistake would you like to show forgiveness?

I say screw him and everyone involved with him. Now he'll find out shit really does stink.

    ReplyDelete
  24. What helped him be "successful" was mine and your tax dollars saving him money. That is not successful that is a cheating-thieving-way. There is no success in that. He is a disgrace to the upstanding business men who work hard and do not take from the hard working.

    ReplyDelete
  25. the only thing ray will be pumping is his cell buddy's ass

    ReplyDelete
  26. ANON 9:29 YOU WOULDNT PUT A DENT IN RAYS ASSETS TO COVER THIS .......KNOW WHO YOU TALKING ABOUT

    ReplyDelete
  27. maybe somebody should look at the commissioner who released these criminals. I believe that's where the problem is. This one commissioner thinks she is a judge and tries the case in her office.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Just to clarify: Ray's parents were NOT losing their farm! And the settlement you are referring to was from him being hit on a motorcycle in 1988. Ray started working when he was 12 years old. He didn't buy the business, which was only Lewis Construction until some years later. Ray did a VERY DUMB thing. I will admit that, but your facts are not straight. He does not and has not dumped sewage illegally anywhere. The EPA has been involved with Ray for years and check on what he's doing on a regular basis! He spreads GREASE on the field. To which I might add, that he has permits to do so! Look it up, he pumps GREASE TRAPS! And yes it does stink. But it's not sewage.
Ray is a good guy, who did a terribly stupid thing. Sorry the rest of you are so perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  29. And might I add...his parents are very good people!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love how people who are struggling financially need someone to blame for being that way. Such as saying the reason they are struggling is because Ray Lewis used their tax dollars give me a break you are struggling for other reasons then this!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Where does the "buck" stop?

    When was the last audit?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Whoever ANON 5:01am is must be a big Ray Lewis fan. If you live in Wicomico county he stole from you to, it's just like him taking money out of your wallet. If he was such a good businessman he wouldn't have had to steal. I really don't care if he dumped raw sewage as long as it wasn't near me, I don't know anything about that but here in Wicomico county we have programs and people that don't have enough money to keep going and this already rich man decides he wants to steal from everyone in the county. Keep taking up for him, HEY maybe you are in this with him maybe the police should see what you know about it. Just shut up you are making yourself look stupid for saying how good a guy he is, yup a real good guys that steal 500K.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's a shame he's hurt his family, friends and embarrassed probly all his customers. We're not looking at a childhood prank here. With all of whats going on locally and abroad with taxpayers money being sqandered, would he have done this to my company if he had the chance?Maybe the commissioner took into consideration other upstanding family members, but I as a local company cannot take the chance. Forgiveness will come in time, but for now color this customer gone.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm told Commisioner Dryden refused to issue a warrant thats why they were charged with summons. WBI had to let them go, they did their job and Commisioner Dryden let these felonious criminal back on the street to probably flee with their stolen cash and assets.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Should have went before Comm. Timmons she would have put thier butt in jail.

    ReplyDelete
  36. CORRECTION: Ray DID purchase the business from his parents. Lewis Construction.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Dryden needs to retire or be released from duty. She just committed a heinous crime against the taxpaying citizens of this county. Wouldn't issue a warrant? Makes you wonder if she or anyone close to her is involved. Why wouldn't she issue a warrant? Rick Pollitt or whoever is in charge of the commissioners needs to give her the boot and give it to her now.

    ReplyDelete
  38. What happens next with this investigation? how long before a trial? The longer these thieves are free (all of them!) - the madder I get. The only hope is that they will gather more evidence for a tougher sentence - since it is obvious that this is the tip of the ice burg. I agree that action needs to be taken regarding the person in charge of "letting" them go~ unbelievable. seems there are many who have been fooled by Ray - Open your Eyes! Wolf in Sheep clothing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yes this is an embarsement to his family. But, some of you don't know full detail of the whole thing. I will say YES he is a theif and YES he did take stolen merchandise but he did pay for it.
He was released on his own personal recognizance because he told them everything and he didn't lie about and he also offered to help them get what they needed and wanted out of this office and warehouse. We as a family can say yes you are greedy and you did it to save a dollar but yes we still love you RAY LEWIS.

    ReplyDelete
  40. this site carries more information regarding this case than the local TV stations and Daily times will even mention. Its like they are trying to "cover up" and "keep it quiet" . If it was me or any other hardworking person just trying to make a living and would have done something like this, our pictures would have been all over the TV stations and headlines for days!
And we would be sitting at the Detention Center ...not out free on the streets! I normally dont write my opinion but this whole thing has me rattled!

    ReplyDelete
  41. it was stolen merchandise but he did pay for it....and you did it to save a dollar 8:43am

I hope you testify, u'll do us taxpayers alot'a good. Hell with that reasoning a drug dealer is no better...he paid for it...he done it to save a dollar. I think all theives and crooks do it to save a dollar bawwwhahahahah!
