Ray Lewis buys house and sells it to Kenneth Townsend 7 days later?????? Thanks to a reader we were able to find this information and post it.

  1. Looks like he made a cool $18,000 in a week's time on that deal. With profits like that, it's no wonder he had to resort to stealing from the county, as that amount could only purchase 5000 gallons or so of diesel fuel on the open market!

  3. I do not think you are reading this correctly.

    Joseph Barlow sold the house to Ray Lewis for $189,000 on May 9, 2006. Ray Lewis sold the house to Kenneth Townsend for $207,000 on August 3, 2007 (1 yr and 3 mos later--not a weeks time as 8:38 noted)
    Kenneth Townsend sold the house to Kenneth L and Deborah L Townsend for $225,000 on August 10, 2007. (it was Townsend who made the quick transaction not Lewis)

    I have no vested interest in either, but lets keep FACTS here not emotions.

  4. that is his business to buy, sell or rent real estate...this could be coincidental that it was Kenny and his wife that made the purchase. Please don't blow everything out of porportion...this is grasping straws. Let Davis Ruark take care of everything. We all have faith in him

  5. I don't usually need to post a comment as it is really all said in spades but I just can't help myself when it comes to idiots. James obviously can't READ the FACTS. Nowhere does it say that Joe Barlow sold the house in ten days. Look at the INFORMATION then grab a pencil and calculator. Ray Lewis sold the house to Townsend in 10 days and made a 18M profit. By the way the M stands for 1,000's. Thought you might not know that since you can't add and subtract. If you are going to make statements at least try to appear halfway intelligent. Sheeesssssh!

  8. It looks to me like Townsend never sold it just retitled or refinanced it. It also appears that he put his wife's name to keep the assets from being attached for some reason.

  9. Ok, I can man up and say when my math is not correct. Thats what I really like about this blog. You can see something one way and then with more input go back and see the sense of it in a whole other fashion. I am not generally rude so my apologizes to anyone that I was wrongfully offensive to. This whole Lewis deal stinks and when you see these kinds of transactions the smell just gets worse and worse. It gets kind of hard to not let some emotion slip in there. Anon 10:54

  15. eye on the ball, damnit, eye on the ball..... what the hell does any real estate purchase made by anybody really have to to with the theft of county purchased diesel fuel and truck tires? - NOTHING, NO MATTER WHO WAS INVOLVED IN THE REAL ESTATE DEAL. we know now what has taken place out at the county landfill. that's where the attention needs to be, kapish?
