Mayor Tilghman Takes Full Responsibility For Financial Problems In Salisbury

I am awaiting a copy of the Press Release but I'm told Mayor Tilghman just stated on Froggy 99 Clearchannel Radio she is taking full responsibility for the Audit problems and stated Pam Oland is understaffed!

I am looking into PAC14 Disks where Councilwoman Terry Cohen clearly asked during a Council Meeting, (directly to Pam Oland) IF she needed more Staff and Pam replied, NO!

More to come.......

  2. One can only imagine all of the illegal and immoral dirty underhanded deals this administration has gotten away with--for every rat you see there are 5o more you don't . There should be an intensive examination of all the city finances while this lying piece of crap has been in power.

  5. In government there is a concept of "knew or should have known." Whether or not Mayor Tilghman actually knew of the $11 million surprise before the audit, she should have known. An official can be recalled for gross incompetence, and perhaps city voters need to think along the lines of a recall election. Personalities aside, the issues revealed by this audit point to ineffective leadership and nonexistent accountability. City voters need to ask themselves if they want to settle for such a low standard of job performance.

  6. Wow.... I have had my computer in the shop for 4 days, then I borrowed a friend's PC and realized it wasn't my PC it was my monitor. I see I have a lot of catching up to do on the poo poo!

I got my monitor up to Brainwaves before they had a chance to check my PC, and for a change something broke down while still under warranty : ) That's where I bought it and they have been great to me.

Since it didn't cost a cent to fix, as I diagnosed the problem myself, I upgraded to a 19 inch monitor for only the difference of $38 and just took my untouched PC back home. However in this case I must say I'm not impressed with a bigger picture of the dung heap on the top of this post ROFLMFAO

  7. Oland knows where the 'bodies are buried' so Barrie's going to protect Oland's job. Hint, hint: there are others who have facts; hope they come forward soon--maybe to the State Prosecutor.

  8. Remember the whining about why in past years the audit was not done correctly. Pam Oland is new on the job, Pam Oland is pregnant, Pam Oland had a baby. Pam Oland is inept!!!

  9. Get Grapevine comments going. Let's see if Daily Times will print them.

  10. Ok, let's explore exactly what "takes full responsibility" means:

Does this mean that BPT will voluntarily admit malfeasance, or admit guilt to criminal charges?

Will she advocate rescinding the recent tax increases since the city is no longer "broke" ?

Will inept staff be reassigned or terminated?

    Etc ....

  11. Well, well, well, the vindictive biotch is spanking WMDT for linking to the blogs. Does this surprise anyone? Next thing you know she and the weasel will be making a trip to ABC in NY to have them removed from the city or she'll file complaints with the FCC and they had better bend to her wishes because SHE is the wicked witch of Ozbarrie. bwahahahahahahaha

    Barrie YOU SUCK!

  12. Anon 829 I like your thinking but the answer to all of your questions is NO. We're talking about Barrie Tilghman here.

  13. Barrie:

There's no responsibiliy up for you to "take" -- you got it when you took the oath of office. was it was lost, too, due to your "poor training"?

  14. Good idea to write to Grapevine of that lousy paper that has whitewashed this administration's lies.

    Letters, too!

And go to the council meeting Monday. I can't, but I'll call a friend who can.

We shouldn't take this lying down!

  15. Any incurred late fees etc. should also be incurred personally by the mayor. Maybe this would make her accountable, but I doubt it with millioins of dollars she thought was under the couch to cushion her.

Another thought about Wilbur, when he signs a contract to be the city attorney, that fee should be what he gets paid, period. No coming to the council for extra money for extra time. He should incorporate those variables at the time of the contract. Whatever he gets paid, too, it is too much. Brenda Colgrove and his staff do his work anyway. I never heard "I don't know, I'll have to check" come out of a professionals mouth about something they are paid to know. Just more of the imcompetence we are paying for with our tax dollars.
