The most popular pooch in the U.S.A. is the Labrador Retriever--for the 17th consecutive year. But the really big news is that for first time in 75 years, the Bulldog is back on the top 10 list of purebred dogs.
Coming in behind the ever popular Lab are the Yorkshire Terrier and German Shepherd. That's the word from the American Kennel Club in its annual ranking, which is based on the year's registration of 157 different breeds.
The top 10 dog breeds in America:
1. Labrador Retriever
2. Yorkshire Terrier
3. German Shepherd
4. Golden Retriever
5. Beagle
6. Boxer
7. Dachshund
8. Poodle
9. Shih Tzu
10.Bulldog
Hey Joe, you left out the nicest breed of dog there is. The Pugs are really nice dogs and never bite anyone and only bark their almost quiet bark, when they feel someone passing is a threat to the houshold. Poor old BJ really feels left out here, and so does your wife's Yorkies.
