Knights Of Columbus Police Officers Of The Year

The local Knights of Columbus reviewed several Officers in 2007 and awarded only 3. They were as follows.

1. Sgt. Jason Chance of the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office.

2. Corp. Jason King of the Salisbury Police Department

3. Officer Chris Shockley of the Fruitland Police Department.

It should be known that the Delmar Police Department and the Maryland State Police refused to participate by entering Officers from their Barracks. NOT that they would have been competition to these fine gentlemen, (just kidding).

Congratulations Gentlemen and as I speak for many here, we appreciate all that you do.

  2. I guess Jason King got sick of the criminals when he worked at Parole & Probation, now he's locking them up and letting someone else baby sit them when they are released. Congratulations Jason, although this is not where any of us envisioned you as a child.

  6. I used to manage a guy named Chris Shockley when he was a pticher in college I believe he was.

Is he related to the former Salisbury police chief Shockley? He was a great employee.

  8. Got to give props to both Jason's. No buddy gives Chance credit for cleaning up the SRO program at the county schools.

Probably because no one knows anything about it. You are right, though. People can't be proud of something they are not aware. Send it to Joe Albero, he'll blog it.

Does this mean they finally retired Wanda Bonet? Talk about worthless

I assure you that none of the School Resource Officers are worthless. They are all some of the finest caliber police officers that I've had the privledge to work with.

Leave it up to some to start swearing and cutting someone else down on a positive post. Wonder where they work? This makes the good officers mentioned here look even better in comparison.

  14. Actually now that I think about it I believe Shockley's grandfather was the Sheriff before Nelms.

Anyhow Chris is a good guy, I knew he'd make something of himself.

Congrad's Chris even if your not the Chris I'm thinking of!
