The man in charge of auditing city finances and uncovering local corruption in New Orleans is off to a slow start. Bob Cerasoli, who made a name for himself investigating Boston's "Big Dig" project, is fighting the city's slow bureaucracy.
I was listening to this story on NPR about a guy they hired to look for waste and corruption in the City of New Orleans. He'd previously done this in Boston, Mass. It caught my attention when the guy said he estimated all the employees driving city vehicles around with free gas was probably costing the City of New Orleans about $12 million. I think Salisbury could use a watchdog like this guy. Here's a link to the story:

Yeah, but you know that the only city department where only the "golden children" get to use the vehicles for themselves is SPD. The "worker bees" burn their own gas to work for their shifts, and just about every day for their court appearances too. But ironically, I see City Public Works trucks regularly out in Mardella, Quantico and Willards...
