The League of Women Voters hosted a forum with candidates for the First District Congressional seat. The forum was held at Chesapeake College outside of Wye Mills, MD.
Conspicuously, two Republican candidates failed to show - Maryland Sen. E. J. Pipkin (R-36) and Joe Arminio.
One interesting feature of the forum was that ordinary citizens were permitted to ask questions directly. For those familiar with candidate forums in the Salisbury area (such as the PACE / Salisbury Chamber Forum) this is strictly taboo. The powers that be want to be able to filter the questions presented to candidates.

ReplyDelete"Pipkin and Arminio Are No Shows"
Pipkin was spending the day with the Duvaman plannig out his strategy to beat The Great Man Harris. Right!!
ROTFLMAO
Pipkin was probably too lazy to get off his fat arse to show up. It is some much easier for him to send out those expensive color full color mailers. I've received 4 so far.
ReplyDeleteSend that fat man packing. To bad it isn't an election year for the state Senate because the fat one Pipkin would lose that seat. Hey, at least he is smart enough to wait for an off year to run for a different seat so he still has the one to go back to.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't vote for the fat man because he is not dedicated to his citizens. Does he want to be a state senator, a U.S. senator or a congressman? Make up your mind Pimkin, it's not all about you!!
Harris managed to get into a food fight, not with Gilcrest but with a person ssking a question.
