Sheriffs Deputy Injured In School Fight
Deputy Mike Bowers was injured trying to break up a fight at one of the local High Schools last week. Two young men were going at it hard and heavy when Mike stepped in to break things up and these guys just weren't quitting.
Turns out Mike got clobbered right in the eye and believe it or not was hit so hard it broke a facial bone. While handcuffing one of the suspects, the other one was kicking him in the back still trying to fight.
Both young men were arrested and Deputy Mike Bowers will be off for a brief period.
Joe, follow up on this. It will be interesting to see how the B>O>E responds. We know how the Sheriff Dept. will react after one of their deputies got hurt by one of the "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND" inmates.
ReplyDeleteAlso check out about the events of a game at Bennett--out of the area gangs with weapons, school lockdown, etc. Have you heard details on this? Was this officer injured at this event?
ReplyDeleteThose inmates at the kiddie warehouse need to be arrested and expelled from school. At no point should they be allowed to re-enter the Wicomico County Public School System.
ReplyDeleteIt is time for the County to have an elected school board and put some responsible people in these posittions. Robin H. do you get my drift??
where's your taser when u need it? oh thats right, that would be excessive force and the deputy would get fired and/or sued. i say put them in a ring and let them fight it out. i'd pay to see that!
ReplyDeleteNow consider that most teachers are past middle age. How are the 50 somethings supposed to handle this, when the students are beating up the man with a gun.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure the board and superintendent are not making many more expulsions in the last two years? Does anyone know the real facts or what the law allows for expulsions? I understand the BOE is making many more expulsions lately.
ReplyDeleteWicomico County needs to call in Joe Clark. He'll straighten these wannabe thugs out real fast. They'll either learn or they'll hit the road, the choice will be theirs to make.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else notice that the male involved in the home invasion was an "inmate" of the Wicomico BOE ?Thanks for giving me yet ANOTHER reason to NEVER send my child to public schools.
ReplyDeleteBTW,"No child left behind" is gonna get worse. This months Readers Digest has a report on how schools are cheating on state tests to avoid federal takeovers-kids who failed the last round suddenly are passing, because the teachers are encouraged to "correct" them.
Who's Joe Clark?
ReplyDeleteThank you liberals! This is what your socialization and hands off policies have created in our society. I am glad the deputy was not injured any worse than he was.
ReplyDeleteJoe Clarke is a New Jersey High School Principal who single handedly turned around a high school that was on the brink of being taken over by the state. They students were failing the basic skills tests and the drugs and violence were out of control. Joe Clarke came in and CLEANED HOUSE. His first week, he expelled the worst of the worst. Long story short, that very school is now considered one of the best schools in New Jersey. Want more....Lean On Me is the name of the movie.
ReplyDeleteI hope Sherrif Lewis will not let this slide. This was a direct assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and this punk ass P.O.S. should be prosecuted to the fullest. Speedy recovery wishes to this Deputy and Merry Christmas to Mike Lewis and all the deputies of the finest sherrifs dept in Maryland.
