The Daily Times Cover Up Today!!!!!!

Ladies & Gentlemen, you may not have noticed but today there's a Letter To The Editor the Daily Times CONVENIENTLY did NOT POST on their On Line Edition.

Sorry guys but I may have to go back and change the name to the Tilghman Times, instead of The Daily Late & A Dollar Short Times. What's the matter guys, afraid the Mayor might come in there cursing like a Sailor again?

Anyhow, here's a little help. Now we'll make sure there's an audience for this letter and thanks for writing it Bruce!

GO HERE and check out what The Daily Times had to say about this subject just the other day too.

From The Daily Times:

Meeting highlights from Monday, Dec. 10:
PRESENTATION OF AUDITOR'S OPINION ON CITY AUDIT

Action taken: None

Public auditor Herb Geary of Salisbury's Trice Geary & Myers LLC briefed the council on why the audit was incomplete. The final deadline is Jan. 1 and his presentation was supposed to be on the completed audit. His firm does not receive necessary paperwork from the city in time because of the city's Internal Service's staffing shortages and rigorous accounting standards set by the Government Accounting Standards Board.

  1. That is one fine letter from Mr. Webster. He hits the nail right on the head, get rid of the current leadership (except Debbie and Terry) and get persons of true accountability in there. This mayor and her pals are totally out of control with this budget and audit mess! I'm ready to sign on the recall document, so where is it?

If it's the same person I believe it is, Mr. Webster is a former strong supporter of the Tilghman regime (possibly once a FOB) who has come to realize that she is the cause of much of the malaise in Salisbury, with assistance and cooperation of the Scheme Team and its "leader" Louise Smith.

Kudos, Mr. Webster. Frankly, I'm surprised that Bassett allowed your letter to see the light of day in the print edition.

    And, good post, Joe.

  3. Wondered what the heck was going on--the day of late delivery the on line verison was a repeat of the previous day, and now they are selectively deleting letters that would no doubt draw a lot of comments on the story chat. What a freakin farce of a city government. SO , did Barrie or Gary or Louweasel show up today for the welcome home of the soldier?

  4. No, Hickery, Dickery & Dock were not there to welcome home this Soldier. Only people who truly cared were there as they were the ones who made the special effort to be there.

  5. What was the article you linked to, Joe? The DT took it down. Must have been good stuff!

  6. No problem. They changes the link on purpose, so I changed mine. LMAO! Try it again.

  7. Mr. Webster --- hats off to you for a great letter. The internal services leadership (i.e. Director and Asst Dir.-Finance) have about as much experience with managing government finances as my left butt cheek. If they new what they were doing they would be able to produce a completed audit in time. Year after year they come up with excuses as to why they can't complete it in time. I can see one year where they mau have problems but not year after year after year. If they were in charge of a business finance office they would have been given the ax a long time ago. Salisbury needs to demand a change in leadership.
