You know something has to be wrong with Blognetnews if Delmarva Dealings is ranked 20th and they haven't posted anything in a month? Nevertheless, Michael has been working VERY hard to get to this position and IMO deserves it more than any Blog in the State of Maryland. Fortunately, (this week) Blognetnews feels the same way. I know I rag on Michael at times about his lengthy posts but Michael is considered a friend and I truly respect his work. Although very different from my own, Michael has a place and obviously proved this week that he has what it takes to be in the top 10, let alone #1.
Doesn't it just blow you away that the top 3 Blogs in the entire State are from the Eastern Shore? Oh well, congratulations to ALL of you. Michael, it looks like those links finally brought you over the top. You should be very proud!
A sincere congratulations goes out to Boss Hogg down in Pocomoke for coming in 3rd place as well. I personally think it was the Fireman's Parade, oh, wait a minute, I mean the Christmas Parade, how could they, I mean, forget Jesus? Some of those Idiots out there still think that Parade is about Firemen and showing off their big red trucks. ROTFLMAO!
This IS nonsense -- what about ones like Red Maryland and O'Malley Watch?
ReplyDeleteAnother dissatisfied customer. LMAO!
ReplyDeleteFirst, Maryland Politics = Red Maryland. When they first got on BlogNetNews, they went by Maryland Politics but then Streiff (the creator and guy who invited me as a contributor) affiliated it with redstate.com and changed the name to Red Maryland. (That's how I understand it.)
ReplyDeleteO'Malley Watch simply hasn't chosen to join BlogNetNews. The top political influence blogs are derived from the 60 or so members in Maryland that get rated.
Mr. Swartz:
ReplyDeleteSo, then it don't mean much, does it????
And what determines the rating scores -- random "hits" ?
Congrat's Michael
ReplyDeleteHigh-five Michael!
ReplyDeleteCON-Grat-U-Late-shuns Michael:
ReplyDeleteI was just checking Joes Blog for news and saw Monoblogue is ranked number 1 on Blognet as "most influential" for whatever that really means.
Have only read your site intermittently and like the fact that you are doing SOMETHING and that you lean to the right.
We placed a link on out blogroll, maybe just to remind me to read you more often, maybe some of our readers will click through and visit your site.
I like the way you have laid out wordpress we have a plain wrap version but it is functional.
Back to Daisy and the boys.. keep up the good work.
Heaven help the State of Maryland if your blog, Joes and ours truly are the three most influential in the State!
Sincerley,
Billy Burke, AKA Boss Hogg

ReplyDeleteThe ranking can't be simply based on hits, because there are a few BNN sites who I know get a larger number than I do. It's a proprietary formula they use, but I suspect the number of links helps and they probably look for certain keywords too.
I'm in the top five most weeks and never have been lower than 15th, so whatever I do seems to score well with them. Truly, there's not a whole lot of websites that take a serious look at politics and issues of the day. Most of the websites I peruse are members of BNN so it's a pretty legitimate guide IMO.
