Breaking News!

At 6:00 AM this morning there was a stabbing at the WCDC. The victim was stabbed multiple times in the back and once in the head.

At 10:00 AM the WCDC contacted the WCSO about the stabbing and asked that their Team, (Wicomico County Bureau Of Investigations) come in and investigate. No inmates are talking, the victim refuses to say anything and the suspect refuses to talk.

More importantly, because so much time has passed before the Detention Center contacted the WCSO, the crime scene was completely compromised. The victim was taken to PRMC, treated and released back to the WCDC.

  2. I read this post as:
"There was a stabbing, so please enjoy this completely unrelated picture I'm posting just to remind you that Mike Lewis can somehow tolerate me presence."

It's hard to connect what looks like a posed publicity photo with the actual event. Were you an actual news source, you'd have used a picture of the WCDC and left out the officials.

What's worse...I'm kicking myself because I just had a chance to ask Mike Lewis just why he puts up with you. However, it would have been unprofessional of me to ask. Some of us know how and when to stay in line.

Perchance, did someone litter in the parking lot at the WCDC?

Funny, what I see are the two people involved in this case standing in front of the very building the stabbing happened.

As far as Mike goes tolorating me, think about what you're saying for just a minute. Have I ever done Mike wrong? No. That goes for MANY other Public Officials. Rick Pollitt, John Cannon, Stevie Prettyman, heck, the entire County Council, 2/5 of the City Council, many of the Citizens of Salisbury, Congressman, Senators, Governors, use your head.

Looks like you fall into the other side of the Council, eh? Let me ask you this too. Did YOU offer to purchase the digital recording equipment for the City? Did YOU clean up on Church Street? (I better be careful on that one if you are one of the Council Members). Where were YOU on the 4th of July? Shall I continue?

  5. Don't you Anti Albero guys ever look in the mirror? If you aren't sleazy, corrupt, breaking the law, or working the system gouging the taxpayers for money then you won't be mentioned on this blog. So why does it bother you so much? Yeah, bet YOU have done stuff YOU don't want to become public knowledge right? I mean that is the thread that binds all of you Albero bashers together, honor among thieves? It has become patently obvious that the people who don't like him are afraid their own mastadon size skeletons might come out of the closet.

  6. this happens almost daily in prison. the gangs are getting bigger and bumping heads over territorial rights and so on. its a little difficult to secure a crime scene in a correctional facilty when youre outnumbered sometimes 10 or 20 to one the primary concern at that point is to gain control of the situation secure the inmates then try to precerve the crime scene.

  8. Mr anonymous 3:30pm. This not a prison its a frigging jail. When u have lax security and officers scared to say anything u will never have control. They better get someone in there and allow the staff to get control of this jail before we are flooded with lawsuits. The "HEADOFHOUSEHOLD" will have to hire more janitors to clean house.

  9. "Looks like you fall into the other side of the Council, eh...shall I continue?"

Continue all you like. You can't figure out who I am, why I'm posting, or how to respond. Has it crossed your mind that some people don't like hypocritical jerks, and would enjoy getting them riled up?

...but Joe - you've proven in the past that you'll turn on anyone in a heartbeat for the smallest of reasons, so none of those people you listed are really "safe" from your slander now, ask questions later philosophy.

As it was, I wasn't at any of those events because I don't live in Salisbury - nor do I care what happens to it. I take care of where I actually live - which is a novel idea, huh? Try it sometime.

Oh, Anon303 - there are no skeletons in my closet. I'd have no problem signing my actual name except for the fact that Joe has demonstrated that he'll stalk anyone who disagrees with him. The last thing I need is some putz with a camera following me around everywhere I go waiting for me to go 56 in a 55.

I don't think the point is about caring for the criminals and I agree they should kill each other. The point is the fact that DD and the WCDC thinks they are the law. The Sheriff's Office should have been called immediately. DD should be removed from his post immediately and if the One Ton Gorilla and the 7 Dwarves can't do it then we can remove them in 2 and a half years.

DD is a criminal his self and the county allows him to get away with this kind of shit all the time.

  11. "do what now" sounds a lot like Charles Jannace, doesn't it? He's one of those a-holes that deals with criminals every day and can't stand them. I believe he lives just outside the city, in the county. I don't think Joe would stalk anyone and I'd like to see proof that he ever has.

  13. Do what now--why does it bother you SOOOOOO much if someone takes a picture of someone else? happens about a zillion times a day--it is called living on theplanet with other human beings, so sorry if it offends you that someone takes a picture of someone else out in public. Is he using secret hidden cameras to take these pictures? NO. Is he selling these pictures to some sleazy tabloid? NO. Get over yourself you jerk and realise the reason is that there are so many dishonest crummy sleazebags out there that NEED to be outed. Hell, I bet you have an issue with Patrick Henry and the patriots of the American Revolution. GEt the hell off the blog if you don't like it, just tie your freaking fingers down if you can't resist.

  15. if its that bad sounds like they need a new warden and some new staff its kind of hard to hire people with experience and a good background with the salary they offer just think a fry guy can make more than a county correctional officer. it may not be a prison ,but its still a place full of crimanals and im sure there are more criminals than officers there its not about being scared its about knowing what to say when to say it and using common sense so you can come home to your family, now if they are just not doing their jobs and being soft then yes i agree maybe some of them should consider a career change.

    ReplyDelete
  16. im not sure but i think it may be against the law to take a picture without the persons permission and post it on the internet if its not against the lae it should be.

  17. "...why does it bother you SOOOOOO much if someone takes a picture of someone else?"

See, it's not the fact that people have their pictures taken that annoys me. It's the sanctimonious jackass that takes them and posts them out of context without care.

As for getting off the blog...well, why? This is way too much fun. I enjoy watching Joe try and guess who I am! Yesterday I was Greg Bassett - today I might be a council member. Tomorrow, I might try being a phlebotomist just for the hell of it.

Here's another clue: I have a blog of my own, just not an anti-Albero one. Why waste my own webspace on it?

Eh, it's time for dinner. Y'all keep it real!

  18. 6:42pm anonymous=You train supervisors to be supervisors and they react as such. You lock the frigging inmates down, you secure the immediate area, and secure the area of the crime. No one enters the area period. Then you feed the inmates bag lunches until the State Police and/or Sheriffs Dept.gives you permission to resume operations. This should have been in the operations manuels of the jail. But we will never know the HEADOFHOUSEHOLD procedures.

  19. From what I understand this is the second stabbing in 1 1/2 weeks. Mainly gang related. Yes, if you are a criminal you are bad, but not all criminals are violent.

As was said on here, when the inmates outnumber the guards, the area has to be secured before the situation can be addressed. Unfortunately, the inmates that are in the area now will remain silent due to they will be the next target if they talk.

This should be the procedure, but not if you don't want the truth to get out.

If it is known that gangs are working inside the system, then why not break up those gangs. We can take them off the streets for a short period of time, but we still let them deliver their hate and illegal activities inside the correctional facilities. This does not make sense to me.

  21. Mike, how can you stand it being so close to that deadbeat. DD is so unprofessional that he can't even pose without having a cigarette in his hand. How tacky is that.

I have heard from numerous CO's and WCDC staff that DD smokes in his office all day long. Isn't that against the law??

    ReplyDelete
  22. i agree ,but in this matter the state police or sheriffs office does not have jurisdiction over the jail/prison they may be involved in the investiagation and have control of the crime scene. the jail should have their own investigations unit for such situations. why take time and money from police organizations when it could be solved in house. as far as gangs thats like the war on drugs its a never ending battle theres only so much you can do you can limit the movement and fraternization of gangs but you wont get rid of them. maryland is a very liberal state and there are many laws and regulations that protect these crimanls so in many cases the hands of prison and jail officials are tied. people complain about what the local govt spends tax money on if you knew half of what the state prison system spent your tax money on you would flip. the people getting arresetd are younger most have long term sentences and really dont care about anything. so most of the jails/prisons are off the hook.

  23. Wait....I thought we didn't have a gang problem here? The problem is that the Detention Center is also an INS/DHS holding area for all the illegals waiting to have their cases heard.

Morale is just one part of the equation. There also has to be training and policies and proceedures. The fact that DD threw out the book says a lot about the caliber of the leadership. DoJ and DHS may come down for inspections, but maybe there needs to be a steady presence of each at the Detention Center. Usually, when there are a number of incidents, the DoJ is right on it, to make sure the facility is safe for the inmate and the staff. God forbid we have the adult version of Bowling Brook. We all know what happened there.

You are so wrong my Friend, but then again Dougie you are not my friend. The WCDC is not it's own jurisdiction and is not immune from County, State or Federal laws. Try to pull that bullshit on someone who doesn't know any better.

It is time for the One Ton Gorilla and the 7 Dwarves to remove Dougie Boy from his position and bring control of the detention center under the County Sheriff's Office. Can you say Joe Arpaio. Mike we need a tent city like this one. Do something to save the tax payers money.

  27. I find it very interesting that the words used beneath that chummy picture are the same words used by Internal Investigator and Warden-wannabe Harden. From what I've heard about the stabbing, he complained that the crime scene was completely compromised, so we now have a good idea of at least one person leaking information. And watch out for the illustrious Mr. Harden. He's another Doug Devenyns, loaded with confidence and not one ounce of experience in handling jail inmates or jail problems. Yes, he is ex-state trooper. That is not working in a jail and dealing with inmates 8-12 hours a day. Rumors say that, after simply talking with officers and supervisors at WCDC, Mr. Harden now feels he has all the experience and information he requires to become Warden and "save the day"! That's a little like reading a book on guns and believing you're an expert marksman.

  28. i didnt say that they were immune from state and federal law what im saying is the state police and local police cant step in and tell them how to run the jail/prison as long as they are within the guidlines and procedures even then the police have nothing to do with it its a govt matter.

Any, I'm off to greener pastures. Bigger fish to fry, and all that. I'm sure you all will interpret that as a victory, so have at it. See you all at the marsh mellow roast at the next house fire of someone Joe doesn't like!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous 11:13 am, you are so wrong. There are murderers in there, and rapists, and sicko's with nowhere else to go. WCDC is not a prison because the majority of inmates there have yet to have their day in court. And the majority of inmates at WCDC are no longer locals, but come from Immigration and the U.S. Marshalls. These people are indeed dangerous, and they are not only interested in harming one another.

    ReplyDelete
  34. there are all types of criminals in there not just minor stuff. you are mis informed. most people are waiting to go to court. and we do have ins/feds there that are convicted jail/detention center doesnt matter what you want to call it. it is still a dangerous place for inmates and officers alike.

    ReplyDelete
  35. anonymous 11:13

I will reiterate what the other poster said... there most certainly are dangerous people in WCDC... people awaiting trial. This means murders, rapists, child molesters. You name it. Once they are sentenced then they will leave and go to the "big house". Its a dangerous place that is FOR SURE. The max sentence at WCDC is 18 months to 2 yrs... small potatoes right? But this is the "middle man" so to speak... the halfway mark and will be sent to where they will spend their sentence, whether it be supermax in Baltimore, ECI, Jessup. You obviously do not have a clue.

BTW... one of the guys involved in the stabbing is facing up 15 yrs.
