Major Shooting At T's Market In Salisbury Last Night

No, there's nothing about this in The Daily Times, as usual. However, WMDT was there and covered it HERE.

I'm told one of the Clerks was shot in the chest and of course I get very little information from the SPD on this shooting.

Here's what I did get from the SPD Website. 11/29/2007 21:13 400 N Salisbury Bv Robbery: Firearm, Chain 200700040141 Under Invst

  1. FYI There was also an assault in that area this morning in braud daylight. Male subject assaulted a female with a club and casually road away as I saw the Fire Department rolling up. I couldn't really do anything being I was in a POV and out of my juristiction. Made sure I reported it thow.

  2. By the spelling, I would guess you were in your jurisdiction (SPD). Please tell me you are not in law enforcement!

  4. Brother......Check the statewide mutual aid agreement. When witnessing a crime of violence you have every right to act in your official capacity......if you're a police officer in the State of Maryland and work for a law enforcement agency within the state. Also....every citizen has a god given right to defend themselves or someone else under these circumstances......I would think you would know that. Are you saying you rode by and watched a man assault a women with a club and did nothing? Dude.....if your a police officer....why would you do that? I guess they just don't make 'em like they used to.

  6. This is real shame. I live behind there in Newtown and go there to get beer occasionally. I have known the two owners for years and they are the nicest people. They always make conversation and ask what I'm up to and how I'm doing. They both have families and work their asses off. I always knew it was just a matter of time before some cracked out low-life scumbag piece of human garbage would go in there with a gun and shoot someone. A real shame.

Anonymous and Grand dad, he is a fire man can't you tell by the spelling!!! Remember the previous posts and grammar issues from them.

I will give him credit though, he has better grammar than most or them.

  9. Listen up--heard a SPD officer state in court the other day that he 'frisks everyone' as a matter of general practice--wrong, so wrong. The Judge said as much also from the Bench.

Don't these officers get any training? What's Webster doing to earn all his big taxpayer bucks?

  10. Yesterday everyone is praising SPD for the laundry list of arrests made. Today however, they are on the shit list again. What gives? Maybe all of us should give. Give them a break. They can only do as much as they are allowed to do by their superiors anything more and they catch hell. It looks like a Catch-22 situation to me, damned by their superiors if they do and damned by the citizenry if they don't. They are young, they are inexperienced, and understaffed, none of this is news to any of us. Will they admit they are scared? Probably not, and that is probably why the officer said he frisks everybody. He/she is in fear for his/her own life and reassuring him/herself that the person is not armed. Whats the harm? If you don't have anything to hide then don't worry about the 30 seconds or so it takes to be frisked.

    Give these folks a break.

  12. The few times I have been in T's Market there have been alot of crackheads in there buying "Love rose" crackpipes and copper scrubbers so I am not suprised at them being held up-but I am suprised at how brutal people are. They didnt have to shoot anyone to get the cash or whatever it was they stole, they are just pure mean no-good animals.Unfortunately that store attracts a bad element.

  13. "Unfortunately that store attracts a bad element."

Because they sell crackpipes and copper scrubbers.

  15. Grand-dad, just because he has the authority by law doesn't meen he was prepared to do something. Wake up and think about it. What if he had his family with him, what if he did not have his weapon with him. If he had got out and started something maybe he could of helped or maybe he would have been hurt. By the time the SPD officer would have arrived all kinds of things could have happened.

  16. Terry V. Ohio...look it up.

And leave the SPD boys/girls alone. They do a damn good job. I work for a different agency and those boys work hard and do a great job. From one agency employee to the SPD boys/girls---KEEP YOUR HEADS UP AND WORK HARD!! and for heavens sake- be careful out there!

  17. I agree leave the SPD men and women alone. They do what they can to make it a safer place. Some could do more as I have witnessed personally but so could everyone, including the public. KEEP YOUR HEADS UP AND WORK HARD!!

I can not understand why stores sell these "Love rose" crackpipes and copper scrubbers right out in the open. My understanding is that these "smoking devices"are legal to sell. Everyone knows what they smoke in them...what a disgrace. I could not sell that crap. I am not suprised at them being held up! People allow this behavor...
