Birthday Protocol?????
Soon after Louise Smith became Council President I'll never forget one of her first Work Sessions where she had everyone sing Happy Birthday to one of the Council Members. They made a big deal out of it and even served cake but most of us just left anyway.
Councilwoman Cohen recently celebrated her Birthday and you know what she got? A Card left in her mail slot at the GOB. What a BIOTCH! Oh well, Happy Birthday Terry Cohen and I hope there are many more so you can enjoy your Family AND drive the majority NUTS! LOL
I'll bet Cohen either just appreciated the card or laughed off the slight.
ReplyDeleteIt's the Three Amigos with the petty streak. Why don't they just get a treehouse for their little club?
Happy Birthday ((((((Terry))))))
ReplyDeleteOh my, spare the tree. We can't have the drunks falling then wanting city medical insurance covering their costs.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Terry. WE THE PEOPLE, appreciate you and all you do.
Donna
Happy Birthday Terry.
ReplyDeleteYou are a class act, thank you for your service to the city of Salisbury!!!
Terry:
ReplyDeleteKeep on keeping on....please!
And thanks for what yo have already done for us.
Donna,
ReplyDeleteLMAO about sparing the tree. Hey, they could always build it in a fake tree! That would be appropriate.
Happy birthday, Terry. Don't let the knuckleheads get you down!
The process of getting a permit for a fake tree would be far to lengthy. Louise would have to have a few work sessions to adopt a resolution to allow installation of a fake tree, then Tom Stevenson would be called to put it on his mile long list of inspections for compliance. To acquire materials to build a tree house would require Tim Spies to get some weed and seed money, form a committee to erect it, only to have Barrie tell him she will have public works do it. Then the tree house would have to sit in the warehouse of a benevolent contractor for about 2 years before it was ever considered for erection. By that time Barrie and her flying monkeys will be running for reelection. Then we would all have to endure another editorial full of lies about how Tim Spies delayed construction of her tree house in a fake tree and Joe Albero sabotaged the whole deal hence another lawsuit for hindering construction of a city owned tree house in a fake tree. We all know they stand a snowballs chance in hell of being reelected so, there is no need to build a tree house in any kind of tree, living or fake.
ReplyDeleteDid you get all that?
Donna
Don't forget that they would also need a $70,000 study on fake trees!
ReplyDeleteTim, thank you. How could I ever forget Bubba's role in all of this. Of course we would have to have a panel of experts do a study on fake trees. Paul Wilber would have to get involved as well to make sure it was properly zoned.
ReplyDeleteDonna, that was hysterical! With great follow up by Tim.
ReplyDeleteThen of course, after Paul Wilber advises on it, something will be found wrong with the zoning and Paul's advice, where he will get his butt tromped and cost the taxpayers even more money.
At this point, the fake tree and treehouse will have cost the taxpayers about $250,000 in studies, legal fees and material and construction at "special prices."
Thanks for the laugh. Oh, and happy birthday, Councilwoman Cohen. Sorry to get off topic.
