A Sigh Of Relief

It's certainly nice to see the majority of Fire Vehicles parked in their own parking lot rather than seeing them lined in in spaces over at Paul Wilber's Office. As they add on more and more Officers, soon enough they'll have just as many take home vehicles as the Salisbury Police Department. Then we can see them at Sam's Club and the Greene Turtle, Hooters and all over the City, protecting us, of course.

  1. What are these so called "added officers?" There haven't been any additions officer wise in 4 years. That's right, you don't have a clue about the FD and just rant about anything. Look out, there's a port a john on the plaza that hasn't been photographed in almost 5 minutes. Why don't you just hop in and save everyone the headache.

  2. explain why its bad for the city police to have take home vehicles to use off and on duty but its seemingly ok for the sheriffs office and state police to have take home vehicles, which they do use off duty on a regular basis? It seems to be a double standard.

  3. The County has a lot more money available than the City does, that's one main reason why. The Salisbury Police also got a substantial raise this past year, placing serious hardship on the Taxpayers whereas the Mayor caused a huge tax increase. The County isn't in the kind of shape the City is and you must cut costs somewhere. It's not Rocket Science. There are take home vehicles all over the City, not just the Police Department. You also can't tell me these Officers don't have personal vehicles.....

  4. Might I add, because of PROACTIVE Policing, Mike Lewis has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through drug money seizures to offset the cost of new vehicles. Perhaps if Chiefy wasn't so afraid to Police the Church Street are he too might be able to collect funds for his own fleet????

Might I add, Chiefy is taking credit away from the State Police and County Sheriffs Department because he's claiming crime is down. WRONG! Some crime is down but when you look into it, it's down because the State and County Police have stepped up their protection and surveillance of that area and you rarely see the Salisbury Police there any more.

  5. just so you know only the chief and the two deputy chiefs have take home vehicles. So the added officers drive their personal vehicles to work. You obviously don't know sh*t about the FD so why don't you leave it alone.

  9. Good point anonymous. But I do believe even LT. DODD's car is not take home. I could stand corrected simply because I have only been on the seen with him a few times. So the right there would squash any allegations of misuse. Cause I don't ever see him after hours in his car.
