Opinion/Editorial
Joe Albero has sued our City and bragged about how his (obviously healthy enough) wife got the biggest workman's compensation award in the history of Maryland. Why does he rub this stuff in my face???? I am a taxpayer in the City of Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland. Joe Albero has taken money out of the taxpayers dollars pockets to fund his indulgent and obnoxious life style. He brags about making people lose their jobs. He will insult absolutely anyone. He gave a F/U to the Holy Scripture when we post it. The man has no respect or common decency.
Last week I watched the fires in California. GOD BLESS ALL FIRE RIGHTERS & EMERGENCY PERSONEL & LAW ENFORCEMENT. I lived there for three years just off Camp Pendleton. Fallbrook burned and is right next to an under ground a weapons station. The Marine were fighting the fires on the base. Imagine if you will-- the I-5 & the 405 split. 12 Lanes of South Bound traffic headed North as well as the North Bound traffic going north. The whole place is burning down. What a nightmare! It must have seemed like Armageddon. Fire Fighters, They earn every bit of their pay and then some. There isn't enough money to equal the value of having these fine brave men and women, black or white, to protect us.
As for Mike Lewis. I read about the new cruisers . . . Wicomico County has the BEST COP CARS IN THE WHOLE STATE OF MARYLAND. They are sharp, fast, state of the art. How much did this cost me in tax dollars? Do we really need all of this?? Suddenly--I realized that we do! Mike Lewis bought all of this equipment to protect us from the likes of Joe Albero. We are very fortunate that our tax dollars are being spent to protect us. I will sleep much better tonight. Salisbury, Maryland, Wicomico County, the State of Maryland was a better place was better before he came here. As taxpayers we must insist that this man stop harassing our elected leaders and more importantly out citizens. Joe Albero causes discord where ever he goes. JOE ALBERO IS A PUBLIC NUISANCE.! I say we stand up for the Mayor and the Chief of Police! Many of the anti-bloggers have experienced the exact type of abuse Tilghman and Webster have. We can get on the TV news! If we make a big enough show of it we would make national. Joe Albero will be known world wide for being a dispicable pig, and he will probably enjoy it. MY FRIENDS WE WILL NOT ONLY BE VINDICATED BUT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US CAN BE MSM!!!
Kirk Dougherty if the Chief of Police over there in Snow Hill. Hee! Hee! Hee! Think about it.

And you thought I had too much time on my hands. ROTFLMAO!

  1. Yes, and a lovely use of the idea of PARAGRAPHS. Again, I wonder if they even paid attention in school.

As far as Joe's wife's settlement is concerned--hasn't Joe said numerous times that it was paid for by Worker's Comp Insurance? That means that the Taxpayers didn't have to foot the bill at all.

The person that posted that entry is simply running scared. I would be too, if I had an indefensible position. Joe is doing something that should have been done a long time ago--showing what is wrong in the city (and what is right). He is showing how the taxpayers are being screwed, and how incompetent some of our elected officials are.

Now here is where I am going to take a huge leap. WE HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME FOR THE PROBLEMS WITH THE COUNCIL EXCEPT OURSELVES. To use an example, we had a huge problem with the mayor and council several years ago (Rachel Polk, Von Siggers, Micheal Day, and the recall effort). We had some problems under the last council. We are having problems now. Who or what has been the only constant in that? That's right, the Mayor. Who has elected the Mayor to numerous terms? That's right, the citizens of Salisbury. I am issuing a challenge to every citizen of the city--let's make a change in the next election. It's time to let someone else take the helm.

I have been reading this blog for months, and have had all the crap I can handle. I am going to start responding, because it is plain as the nose on my face that some of you are dumber than chickens.

Worker' Comp is paid by the company you work for, dumbass. Unless, that is, you work for the city, county, or state. If you bothered to look at your paystub, you would see this column entitled "Company Paid Benefits" or "Employer Paid Benefits". Under it should be either Workers Comp or Unemployment Ins. (depending on how your employer words it). That means, idiot, that the COMPANY pays that out of their profits. Just like they pay SS tax, Health Insurance, and 401(k) matches.

No wonder some of you are so damn defensive, you are as dumb as a box of rocks.

Does the zoo count for city, county or state?

  8. Touche, Karen. But, the Salisbury Citizens didn't have to foot the entire bill, because the money from all the companies goes into a collective pot. The "burden" if you will, is spread out. Additionally, the zoo recieves numerous large financial contributions annually. That also defrays the cost.

Don't blame city taxes going up 16% on the fact that Jennifer Albero got a large worker's comp settlement. Ask yourself--how much of that 16% increase went to the zoo? How much goes to add to the fiscal mismanagement of the city?

Yes, I know that is no what you said, but I know at the back of your mind, you were thinking it.

  9. I don't blame the tax increase on that at all. And if she was hurt on the job, she was entitled to the money, there's no doubt about that. I know some people don't know how workers comp work, however, I do. My comment was to remind you that that the zoo is not privately owned, therefore workers comp premiums are, in essence, contributed to by the taxpayers.

  10. The Kirk Daughterty tie in has gone over my head. What's he gonna do Albero, issue you a citation or parking ticket while you're over there? Explain please.
